In the previous chapter, Nobunaga, Feitan, and Phinks were seen following Tajao through narrow alleys. They arrived at a waste processing area which was managed by the Cha-R and Xi-Yu families. However, it was revealed that the actual work was mostly outsourced.

Nobunaga speculated that the Heil-Ly Family has become involved in the operations now, without the Mafia families coming to know. This allowed them to hide their crimes. Nobunaga then chose to return to gather more intel, but not before cautioning Feitan and Phinks about a guard at the Heil-Ly hideout who uses a Counter-type Nen ability.

Elsewhere, Zakuro and Hinrigh searched for Lynch, only to find her body with Halkenburg's guards. Lifting her body, Hinrigh asked Zakuro about their last encounter. Zakuro recalled waking up beside Lynch after Hisoka attacked him.

Learning that she appeared unnecessarily calm, led Hinrigh to suspect an impostor had posed as Lynch. He suspected that both Hisoka and Lynch whom Zakuro encountered were fakes. Hinrigh further speculated that the Phantom Troupe might be involved in Lynch's death, which could mean war with both the troupe and the Cha-R Family.

Meanwhile, Chrollo considered heading to Tier 1 to obtain a skill that would help him defeat Hisoka. He also sought Kakin’s sacred treasures, which were expected to be heavily guarded.

What to expect from Hunter x Hunter chapter 407? (speculative)

In Hunter x Hunter chapter 407, according to the currently available spoilers, the manga will focus more on Morena as her plan starts to come together. She will likely spend much of the chapter outlining the rules of her game. Meanwhile, Halkenburg's funeral procession will continue in the background.

Fans will have to wait a bit longer to see some action, but as has been proven so many times before, Togashi's dialogue is often more engaging than a lot of the action sequences.
