The episode also made it clear that, despite having no special skills or talents, Noor was able to refine his parrying skills to an absurd degree through hard work. The production of the episode so far has received praise from both new anime-only fans and light novel fans.

A brief recap of I Parry Everything episode 1
I Parry Everything episode 1 starts by introducing Noor and his sick mother, whom he takes care of in a remote location in the mountains. Although Noor works very hard to take care of their farm and his mother, she laments and apologizes to him for not being able to provide him with anything. She also tells him that at least Noor should be able to decide the path he wants to follow in his life.
Unfortunately, Noor's mother passes away without even being able to have a last interaction with her son. Noor gives his mother a proper burial alongside his late father and decides to venture into the nearest town to become an adventurer.
After reaching the adventurer's guild, Noor finds out that there are actual schools in the town that help nurture a person's talent and skills to help them become adventurers. Noor trains for several months in each of these schools, only to find out that he has no talent for being an adventurer since he could only learn the absolute basic skills like parrying and low heals.
Dejected, he returns home and starts practicing his parrying skills, which he continues to train for over an entire decade. Afterward, Noor returns to the town and somehow becomes the lowest-ranked adventurer, restricted to odd jobs and manual labor within the town.
Noor comes across a minotaur slaughtering a girl and her escorts when he is returning from a long day of work. Noor identifies the minotaur as a really big cow. Scared, Noor picks up a sword and starts parrying the minotaur's huge attacks to save the girl.
Eventually, Noor can parry the minotaur's axe in such a way that it cuts off the minotaur's head. Noor then swiftly leaves, pondering how he almost died to a random big cow in the streets, not knowing that it was a minotaur, which is a rather high-ranked monster.
I Parry Everything episode 2: What to expect?
I Parry Everything episode 2 will mainly adapt to the aftermath of Noor saving the mysterious girl in episode 1. Episode 1 made it clear that Noor was facing difficulties and wasn't able to pursue an actual adventurous career so episode 2 might actually address that.
Although many fans expected the production of this anime to be rather generic, many others are anticipating the production to be of a high level, especially since Studio OLM has previously animated My Apothecary Diaries and Summertime Rendering.
