I Parry Everything episode 3 was released on July 18, 2024. While episode 2 set up Noor's first fight against a competent opponent, episode 3 revealed that Noor was almost on the same level as him.

The episode also depicted Lynne trying to become Noor's apprentice, which was met with Noor's rejection. Episode 3 also set up the fact that all of Noor's basic skills were refined to a level greater than even high-level skills.

I Parry Everything episode 3, titled I Parried Her Apprenticeship, continued from the ending of episode 2, where Noor was approached by Gilbert. Episode 3 revealed that Gilbert had asked Noor for a spar and led him to the training grounds.

Although Noor did not understand the intentions behind this request, he eagerly accepted it since sparring with someone of Gilbert's level was a rare opportunity.

Gilbert and Noor both took up wooden weapons and started their match. While Gilbert unleashed several spear strikes at Noor, Noor simply evaded all of them and realized that Gilbert was subconsciously holding back his strength.

After being urged by Noor, Gilbert unleashed more of his strength, which Noor easily evaded. This eventually made Noor think that he had got stronger, after which Noor told Gilbert that he could go all out against him. Hearing this, Gilbert used his ultimate spear strike, which couldn't be dodged by a human, but Noor dodged it by combining his physical enhancement and Featherstep skills.

Noor then realized that dodging this skill required him to push his basic skills to the limit. He went on to misunderstand the entire intention of the spar. Noor took it as Gilbert teaching him the humiliation and downsides of conceit to prevent him from overestimating his abilities, while Gilbert just wanted to test his abilities.

After the spar ended, Gilbert pondered how there was almost no one in the kingdom who could match his might, and Noor just ended up making a fool out of him, unbeknownst even to Noor.

Later, Noor was approached by Lynne, who requested him to accept her as his apprentice. Noor adamantly refused since Lynne was much more talented than him, and thought that she judged him as a very skilled individual.

Lynne went on to demonstrate her numerous high-level skills and asked Noor to make her his apprentice once more, but Noor still refused. Noor then showed her one of his basic skills to prove that he was not someone worth training under.

This only showed Lynne how skilled Noor was, as Noor's basic skills were more refined than the masters of the adventuring schools. The episode ended with Lynne pledging herself to become worthy of being Noor's apprentice.

Final Thoughts

I Parry Everything episode 4 will be released on July 25, 2024, and will continue Noor and Lynne's narrative, further deepening the miscommunication between them.

Although I Parry Everything episode 3 had Noor directly compete against a strong opponent without going all out, episode 4 might show Noor giving his all against an opponent. The anime is being animated by Studio OLM who have previously series like The Apothecary Diaries.
