A brief recap of I Parry Everything episode 3
I Parry Everything episode 3, titled I Parried Her Apprenticeship, continued the story with Gilbert asking Noor for a spar, leading them to the training grounds. Although Noor was unsure of Gilbert's intentions, he eagerly accepted the challenge. Using wooden weapons, Gilbert launched several spear strikes, all of which Noor easily evaded.
Realizing Gilbert was holding back, Noor urged him to use more strength. When Gilbert unleashed his ultimate spear strike, which was supposed to be unavoidable, Noor dodged it by combining his physical enhancement and Featherstep skills. This made Noor mistakenly believe Gilbert's intent was to teach him humility, while Gilbert only wanted to test Noor’s abilities.
After the match, Gilbert pondered how Noor had outmatched him without realizing it. Later, Lynne approached Noor, requesting to be his apprentice. Noor refused, believing Lynne was more talented than him. Lynne demonstrated her high-level skills, but Noor still declined, showing her a basic skill to prove his unworthiness as a mentor.
However, Lynne saw this as evidence of Noor’s exceptional skill, as his basic techniques were more refined than those of master adventurers. The episode ended with Lynne vowing to become worthy of being Noor's apprentice.
I Parry Everything episode 4: What to expect?
The pacing of the anime has considerably slowed down, but I Parry Everything episode 4 might adapt Lynne and Noor starting their journey and encountering a new opponent who will be able to test the extent of Noor's ability. While episode 3 established that Noor had surpassed a few high-level techniques by simply refining his basic skills, episode 4 will expand on this and deliver a fight with Noor going all out.
