I Parry Everything episode 5 highlights
I Parry Everything episode 5 starts with Rein, Lynne's brother, receiving numerous missing person reports and other complaints from around the kingdom. As he pieces together the complaints, he recalls Lynne and Noor's encounter with the Goblin Emperor in episode 4. This realization leads him to suspect that the neighboring countries might be trying to start an all-out war.
I Parry Everything episode 5 then transitions to Noor and Lynne enjoying a meal after completing their first-ever commission. Noor wonders how the guild master simply gave them the reward for the goblin hunting commission, despite their inability to provide proof of the hunt.
Their meal is then interrupted by Rein, who urgently requests a favor from Lynne and Noor. He clarifies that he will turn the favor into an official commission, ensuring Noor receives a substantial reward. Rein instructs Lynne to board a carriage and patrol the routes. He further explains that if any incidents occur, Lynne and Noor should journey through the mountains to reach the Holy Theocracy of Mithra.
Lynne and Noor embark on their journey, escorted by Ines, one of the kingdom's strongest knights, comparable to Gilbert. Throughout the journey, Ines grapples with feelings of jealousy and envy towards Noor, especially since her master and foster father had acknowledged someone named "Noor" during a subjugation mission.
As they travel, Ines, Lynne, and Noor encounter a Black Death Dragon and a demonfolk child with the ability to control monsters. The dragon loses control and attacks the demonfolk child, prompting Noor to confront it directly, under the mistaken belief that the dragon is an overgrown toad.
Aware of the dragon's true nature, Ines prevents Lynne from aiding Noor, deeming the situation hopeless. Noor is soon struck by the dragon's poison. Ines desperately shields Lynne from harm, believing Noor to be defeated.
However, Ines is surprised to witness Noor's tenacity as he continues to parry the dragon's attacks despite being severely poisoned. Eventually, the poison takes its toll, and Noor collapses, succumbing to its effects. The episode concludes with Noor weakly asserting that he'll manage the situation somehow, even as his voice fades.
Final thoughts
I Parry Everything episode 5 finally put Noor's stenghts to the test by pitting him against poison, something that cannot be parried. While this episode 5 did foreshaodow his demise, episode 6 which will be released on August 8, 2024 will reveal his actual fate.
