I Parry Everything episode 6 highlights

I Parry Everything episode 6 opens with a flashback of the Demonfolk child, which was revealed in episode 5. The flashback unveils that the Demonfolks were heavily persecuted and subjected to public humiliation and exploitation in their own country.

Although the Demonfolk initially used their powers solely to control and manage livestock, during a war, a few Demonfolk used their powers to control monsters, which led to numerous tragedies. This eventually caused normal humans to turn against the Demonfolk, and tensions intensified when it was revealed that the Demonfolk could read minds.

The Demonfolk child was caged like an animal and treated like a slave for most of his life, along with other Demonfolk. He was later deceived by his captors into transporting the Black Death Dragon to Noor's city under the promise that he and his fellow Demonfolk would be treated better. Wanting approval and better living conditions for his people, the child accepted, only to be attacked by the same dragon he was transporting.

The episode then cuts to Noor collapsing due to the Black Death Dragon's poison. It is revealed that following his mother's death, Noor started scavenging in the mountains for food and ended up consuming a highly poisonous mushroom, which caused him to vomit buckets of blood.

However, Noor soon overcame the poison and began ingesting every poisonous organism he could find. This led him to develop a peculiar taste for poisonous organisms, ultimately resulting in his body adapting to any kind of poison.

Noor therefore in the present adapts to the poison of the Black Death Dragon and resumes his fight against it. He ponders how the supposedly "poisonous toad" should be delicious and continues the battle in hopes of eventually eating it. He defeats the dragon by crushing its mouth during a breath attack, causing the breath to wither away from the dragon's own body.

Later, Noor ensures the safety of the Demonfolk child, who reveals his name to be Rolo. Soon, Lynne and Ines approach Noor to assess his condition, which leads Lynne to misunderstand the entire situation. She hypothesizes that Noor had somehow perfected a healing skill that could cure any wounds and ailments, similar to Sain, one of the six sovereigns of her kingdom.

Noor then requests Lynne to allow Rolo to accompany them. Although Lynne has reservations about Rolo's Demonfolk lineage and his involvement in escorting a literal disaster to their kingdom, she recalls her father's words and decides to help Rolo, who was nothing more than a frail child, a victim of his circumstances.

I Parry Everything episode 6 ends with a mysterious figure confronting the entire party, mentioning how Rolo should have been dead by now according to his calculations.

Final thoughts

I Parry Everything episode 6 further established Noor's pure nature, as he accepted and uplifted Rolo, who had been shunned his entire life due to his Demonfolk lineage. While this episode didn't focus much on action, episode 7 will likely address that by pitting Noor against a human opponent sent to assassinate Rolo.
