I Parry Everything episode 7, titled "I Parried a Dead Man," was released on August 15, 2024. The episode primarily focused on the fight between the mysterious stranger from episode 6 and Noor.

It was revealed that the stranger was an S-rank adventurer, strong enough to rival the Six Sovereigns and capable of defeating Noor, had it been a serious fight. Like the previous episode, episode 7 concluded by revealing Noor's next opponent, a gigantic "Dragon of Calamity."

I Parry Everything episode 7 begins with a conversation between the mysterious stranger introduced in episode 6 and Noor. The stranger remarks on how peculiar it is for "that thing" to still be alive, noting that the cargo is barely intact anymore.

Noor, misunderstanding the situation, assumes the Black Death Dragon from episode 6 is the important cargo. He begins apologizing to the stranger for its destruction, unaware that the stranger is referring to Rolo throughout the conversation.

Without much thought, the stranger lunges at Rolo to take his life, but Noor somehow parries the attack. Surprised by this, Noor questions the stranger, who then reveals that he was tailing Rolo and is now there to eliminate him and return the body to his employer. The fight continues, with Noor barely managing to keep up with the stranger's relentless assault.

Ines then reveals that the stranger is none other than Deadman Zadu, a former S-class adventurer who is so powerful that the Six Sovereigns hesitate to subdue him due to the threat he poses.

Deadman has no concept of good or evil and works solely for money, with his most notorious act being the complete annihilation of a country's army and royal family as part of a job. Despite his criminal actions, his contributions to Lynne's kingdom and the guild are significant, leading to his exile and erasure from the records.

After this reveal, Ines joins Noor to help fend off Zadu's attacks. Eventually, Zadu gives up, as most of his weapons are broken and Noor's involvement complicates the job more than he anticipated.

As he departs, Deadman Zadu warns Noor that they will likely cross blades again, as a significant event is about to unfold in the kingdom's capital. The I Parry Everything episode 7 then cuts back to the capital, which is now completely evacuated as Lynne's brother, Rein, continues patrolling the streets. The episode ends with Rein discovering that a "Dragon of Calamity" is hovering over the capital and targeting them.

Final thoughts

I Parry Everything episode 7 established Noor's overall power level compared to some of the strongest threats in the story's universe. Although a serious fight between Deadman Zadu and Noor wasn't shown, Noor's performance indicated that he indeed has the potential to rival the most formidable threats. Episode 8, scheduled for release on August 22, 2024, will depict Noor facing the "Dragon of Calamity."
