I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince episode 3 began with Tao and Lloyd preparing to fight the Lich they discovered at the end of the last episode. Lloyd asked what a Lich was, but Tao used her powers to send him flying outside, fighting the Lich by herself to allow his escape. Grim begged Lloyd to come home as he debated what to do next, while Tao was clearly in danger. The Lich then spoke to her, expressing a desire to eat Lloyd’s soul given his impressive abilities.

Just as Tao was about to be killed, Lloyd returned and saved her. He then fought the Lich, clearly excited to do so. Lloyd then combined Qi and mana, overwhelming the Lich with this new style and eventually winning. The dungeon then began collapsing, with the two parting ways after escaping. Upon returning home, he found Grim in his double body beaten to a pulp after being forced to train in swordplay with Sylpha.

Lloyd then worked on the old knife he got from the dungeon, removing the enchantment from it and discovering it to be a Boost Power enchantment. He and Grim then did the preparation needed to make their own enchantments. The two then successfully enchanted the weapons of several soldiers after some trial and error.

The episode ended with Lloyd’s brother Alber taking him on a monster hunt so he could see some of his enchanted weapons in action.

As Lloyd’s magic skills become increasingly difficult to keep secret, I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince episode 4 should see Albert begin realizing just how powerful his little brother is. This will likely be done via Lloyd fighting some of the monsters during the coming monster hunt, likely out of necessity after the other soldiers besides Albert are defeated.

Likewise, episode 4 should see the pair become even closer than they already are, likely establishing Albert as Lloyd’s confidante within the royal family. This could also eventually lead to Albert pushing for Lloyd to be the crown prince after seeing his skill both in general magic use and in a combative context.
