Naruto Uzumaki is one of the strongest characters in anime, but is Naruto planetary level? This is a question that has caused a war online between the fans of the series. But considering which enemies the protagonist has defeated throughout the series, the answer is pretty straightforward.
Moreover, the protagonist can also be proven as a planetary-level threat through the character description given by the original author regarding the Nine-tails beast that resides inside him.
He hasn't destroyed a planet because this would have been against his demeanor as a protagonist, but he has fought villains that are capable or even have destroyed planets in the past.

Is Naruto a planetary level threat?
Naruto Uzumaki is the main protagonist of the Naruto anime series and had a very tough childhood because his parents died after protecting him from the Nine-tailed fox. One-half of this nine-tailed fox was sealed inside the protagonist by his parents, thinking that he could control such immense power in the future.
To control the tailed beast, the protagonist had to become strong enough on his own first. So, he started learning under Jiraiya, who taught him the jutsu that the protagonist's father developed, the Rasengan. The protagonist continued his journey of learning after Jiraiya passed away.
He learned the Sage Jutsu, as controlling the Tailed-Beast chakra was dangerous. After learning this, the protagonist went after Pain, who had the Doujutsu, the Rinnegan, a planetary-level threat.
The protagonist won the fight against Pain, but only due to the Nine-Tails taking over him. Hence, declaring him a planetary-level threat wouldn't be much of a claim right now.
The Fourth Great Ninja War arrived before long, and the protagonist had control over the Tailed Beast that resided inside him. Nine-Tails is referred to as an entity that could turn the world to ashes.
After the war, the protagonist fought Kaguya Otsutsuki, the first Otsutsuki that arrived on Earth. Fortunately, the protagonist beat the Otsutsuki, but a big part of this win was because of Sasuke Uchiha. So, right now, the protagonist could be considered close to a planetary level but not the real deal.
The clarification comes after the main series in two different movies, the only canon movies from the series. The Last Naruto movie featured a battle between the protagonist and Toneri. The battle saw Toneri tear the moon into two halves, which meant he was a planetary-level threat.
However, the protagonist beat him and saved Earth from destruction. So, the protagonist surviving a planetary-level threat means he is a threat himself if he ever thinks of destroying something. The other hint is from Boruto: Naruto The Movie (or the Boruto TV series), which featured a battle between the protagonist and Momoshiki, who was accompanied by Kinshiki.
Kinshiki's official bio mentions him as a planetary-level threat, and as he was weaker than both the protagonist and Sasuke, this makes them the same level threat, proving that Naruto is indeed planetary level.
