While Solo Leveling fans have been gearing up for the anime's second season, the web novel fans have been anticipating the release of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok episode 313. However, reports online have suggested that the web novel will take some time before its next release. So, is Solo Leveling: Ragnarok on hiatus right now?

Yes, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is currently on hiatus. However, fans need not worry as the web novel is seemingly set to return to serialization soon. While the break itself wasn't so long, the sudden hiatus may have left many fans scratching their heads. Fortunately, KakaoPage has unveiled the reason behind the hiatus.

Why is Solo Leveling: Ragnarok on hiatus?

As explained by KakaoPage, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok web novel is currently on hiatus because its author Daul was met with an accident. An unexpected car happened to hit the author while walking.

The injuries themselves aren't grave or life-threatening, however, the author had to be hospitalized for a while. This inevitably led to the web novel taking a sudden hiatus. The web novel announced a break from Monday, December 30, 2024, to Friday, January 3, 2025. Additionally, the KakaoPage website thanked the web novel's fans for their consideration.

While long-time fans may interpret the hiatus news precisely, some fans could misinterpret it. As announced, the web novel will be on break till Friday, January 3. This does not mean that the web novel's episode 313 will be released on the same day. Instead, the announced date might only be indicating the series' hiatus duration.

As fans must know, the web novel series publishes its episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Thus, fans can expect it to release its next episode on Monday, January 6, 2025.

What is Solo Leveling: Ragnarok about?

Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is the sequel to the original Solo Leveling series. Unlike the previous series written by Chugong, the new series is written by Daul. It began releasing its episodes in April 2023, more than a year after the original series ended. In time, the new web novel has released over 300 episodes.

Solo Leveling: Ragnarok follows the story of Sung Su-ho, son of Sung Jin-woo and Cha Hae-in. Sung Su-ho inherited his father's power as the Shadow Monarch. However, his powers and memory were locked away as a child so that he could have a normal life.

Nevertheless, Shu-ho was subjected to a similar fate as when he was in university, Gates started to open up on Earth once again. This time, the system chose Su-ho as a player. With that, the new protagonist begins his Hunter journey in order to face the new threat that led to his parents' disappearance.
