Solo Leveling Ragnarok is the sequel to the Solo Leveling series. Sung Jinwoo is inarguably one of the most iconic manhwa characters to emerge in the last decade. Sung Jinwoo primarily served as the protagonist of the Solo Leveling light novels as well as the manhwa, which have already been adapted into an anime.
Although Sung Jinwoo has not yet made an appearance in Solo Leveling Ragnarok, the entire plot revolves around his son, Sung Suho, who has taken up his role as Earth's defender. Meanwhile, Sung Jinwoo defends Earth from the outerversal gods, currently serving as the antagonists. According to the dialogue within the manga, Sung Jinwoo is currently alive and is fighting a war in space.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok: Sung Jinwoo's current status
Sung Jinwoo served as the main protagonist and later became the defender of Earth throughout the original Solo Leveling series. Towards the end of the series, he became a monarch and achieved immortality. The earliest chapters of Solo Leveling Ragnarok clarified that Sung Suho, the current protagonist and son of Sung Jinwoo, had been living with both of his parents missing.
Later in the story, Beru returned to Earth, allegedly under orders from Sung Jinwoo, to train Suho and help him become a defender of Earth. Beru then explained how Sung Jinwoo, who essentially became the sole defender of Earth, went into space to protect the planet from the Itarim race (the current antagonists).
The Itarim race is the race from which the "Absolute One" descended. After the Absolute One's death and Sung Jinwoo's ascension to the throne of the Shadow Monarch, the Itarim race began infiltrating Earth to claim the abundant mana present on the planet.
According to the currently translated chapters, Sung Jinwoo is serving as the sole opponent against the Itarim invasion of Earth and is allegedly in space along with the rest of his army.
While Sung Jinwoo's involvement has already been implied and somewhat confirmed, Chae Hae-In is simply missing in the story, with her disappearance being unknown even to Sung Jinwoo's shadows and Sung Jinwoo himself. It is possible that Chae Hae-In may later return to the story as an antagonist after being manipulated by the Itarim.
Final Thoughts
Sung Jinwoo has yet to make an appearance in Solo Leveling Ragnarok outside of flashbacks. Since the Solo Leveling Ragnarok light novels have not been completely translated yet, Sung Jinwoo's actual status has not been confirmed. However, the story currently implies that he is alive in space.
