Mele saved his village from a lethal storm every year, which led to his reputation as a strong man.

The second character, also listed as the sequel's protagonist, was Kuuro the Cautious. After taking care of some pursuers, Kuuro entered a cart where he was greeted by Elea the Red Tag. On their way to the Aureatia Kingdom, they were attacked by a giant worm. As Kuuro was about to engage in battle, Soujirou jumped out of the cart and killed the beast in a single shot.

Ishura season 2 episode 1, titled Mele the Horizon's Roar, commenced with a focus on a girl engulfed by the Great Particle Storm and reduced to ashes. The episode then shifted to the Sine Riverstead, where a little boy approached a sleeping giant.

The little boy wanted to use the giant's crossbow, but, as expected, he couldn't even lift it. After a brief conversation, the boy left as the giant saw a storm approaching the area. The storm was roaring at night, and a flood approached the village at full speed.

Calculating his aim and power, Mele used his bow to shoot an arrow at a point in the ground, which diverted the flood's flow. Fortunately, this saved a nearby village from the flood. He then fell asleep. On the other hand, Ishura season 2 episode 1 focused on the village where a boy was asking about Mele.

The boy was interested in why Mele would participate in the Royal Games (a competition declaring him a sole Hero). The father said the villagers appointed him for the games because of his strength. As the boy doubted this, his father showcased Mele throwing arrows at the stars, which also served as Mele's introduction.

Ishura season 2 episode 1 then shifted to a village where people were traveling through a bazaar in hoards. Amongst these was a little boy whom a lot of people were targetting. With the help of his homunculus, the little boy took care of them and entered a cart. Inside this cart was Elea the Red Tag, who was going to take this boy to Aureatia Kingdom.

The boy was Kuuro the Cautious, who the Aureatia Kingdom appointed for some secret tasks. His homunculus partner, Cuneigh the Wanderer, supported him because Kuuro's clairvoyance ability was fading away. As they traveled toward the Kingdom, they had to cross a marshland.

Unfortunately, Ishura season 2 episode 1 saw a worm (a giant worm) approaching the cart. Kuuro, being a cautious man, was ready to engage in battle. However, Elea assured him that they already had a bodyguard sitting on top of the cart. When the worm approached the cart, Soujirou the Willow-Sword jumped to slay it.

After chasing the worm, Soujirou slashed the beast's heart, which led to its instant death. The display of Soujirou's swordsmanship dumbfounded Kuuro. Ishura season 2 episode 1 ended with Kuuro reaching the Aureatia Kingdom.
