However, the land wasn’t fit for farming due to lacking a water source since the soil was made up of loose, volcanically ejected material.

Latrato decided to dig horizontal tunnels in search of collected water, eventually doing so and successfully starting his farm. The Latrato family changed their name to Howler when the Hawaiian Archipelago joined the United States, starting Howler Farms afterward. Their reach grew in the 1960s when local luxury hotels and villas needed their water sources. This led to them becoming Howler Co., a water resource and water-power generation infrastructure company.

As a result, they were essentially the owners of Hualali’s north slope, as Howler Co. and Acca Howler’s autonomy and untouchableness were emphasized. This shifted focus to the hospital, where Jodio was musing on Paco’s words before he fell down the elevator shaft. He eventually ran into Lulu, who dropped her bobblehead with both going to pick it up. However, he realized who she was when her nose started to bleed, prompting Bobby Jean to attack him.

It was then revealed that Dragona’s Smooth Operators found Lulu’s Stand inside Usagi, but were then swarmed by many more. Meanwhile, Jodio fled from Bobby Jean as he opened fire, resulting in many others getting hit. He eventually tried cornering Bobby Jean, but instead took several dangerous hits from both Bobby Jean and Lulu’s Stand inside him. The issue ended with Jodio hiding in a bathroom stall as Bobby Jean entered to search for and eliminate him.
