After reuniting with the others, Charmingman informed them of what he learned while confirming he changed the bank’s records to ensure Howler’s assets go to them. Focus then shifted to the group’s reunion with Meryl Mei Qi, where she began interrogating Lulu on many topics.

Lulu first confirmed that no one else knew of their existence through her, due to the fact that Bobby Jean was now dead. She also confirmed that their mission wasn’t about the Lava Rock at first, but became about it after Acca Howler contacted them. Meryl ended the team meeting by confirming they’d make their moves on Howler’s assets within seven days, amazing Lulu. Focus then shifted to Acca Howler himself, who was wading his way through a protest.

Eventually, he made it inside to his company’s headquarters, where three new Stand users whom he hired introduced themselves to him. They were lawyer Key West, police officer Laem Chabang, and firefighter Ningbo. They announced their intent to avenge Bobby Jean, but asked Howler what he was investigating, which he refused to tell them. The issue ended with Key West revealing they had a lead on Paco after a tense standoff between them and Howler.

What to expect from JoJoLands chapter 22 (speculative)

JoJoLands chapter 22 should begin with a focus on Jodio and co’s group, showing what their next moves are, if anything at all. Likewise, this may see them return to their normal daily lives, possibly with a focus on Paco Lovelantes specifically. This seems likely due to the fact that Key West’s lead on the group comes from Paco’s history as a veteran. More likely than not, this backstory will at least be touched on, if not fully explained in chapter 22.

Chapter 22 should also reveal which of Key West’s group will pursue Paco and co, if not all of them. However, splitting them off seems likely both considering how new they are as characters, and mangaka Hirohiko Araki’s historic approach to villain groups. In any case, some of them should confront Paco and at least one of his allies by the issue’s end. Jodio himself seems the most likely choice here as the series’ protagonist, and the group’s apparent field leader.
