One Piece chapter 1122, released on August 5, 2024, has been the talk of the town for various reasons, one of the most prominent being Emeth's Haki blast against the Gorosei after he untied JoyBoy's rope. This scene is related to the past when Nami learned about weather science on Weatheria and witnessed something similar to Emeth's knot.

The wind knot Nami witnessed was similar to the knot JoyBoy tied for Emeth. Moreover, this relation could apply similarly to other Straw Hat Pirates who could use Conqueror's Haki in the future, for instance, Sanji, whose body is modified through science, and Franky, who is a real-life cyborg.

One Piece: Why Emeth releasing JoyBoy's Haki relate him to other Straw Hat Pirates

One Piece chapter 1122 showed Emeth falling to the ground after one of his hands was busted when he tried to attack Saint Warcury. After landing on the ground, Emeth started apologizing to JoyBoy for not being able to make him the king.

Luffy entered the conversation, and Emeth cleared that he looked like JoyBoy. Luffy then revealed that he was a part of the D clan, which made Emeth pull a knotted thread out and claim that he would never let Luffy die.

He then untied the knot that released JoyBoy's Conqueror's Haki, which could be felt far across the Grand Line. The Haki was strong enough to cancel Saint Saturn's summoning and make Imu fall to the ground in Mariejois.

This knot could be linked to the wind knots that appeared during the Straw Hat Separation Adventure arc of Nami on Weatheria. After getting hit by Kuma's paws, Nami was sent to a small island in the skies, where she learned about weather science.

Heradas, the old man who taught her everything, introduced her to the wind knots. When untied, these knots create wind; the more they are untied, the stronger the wind gets. This could be considered similar to what Emeth did, but more importantly, these knots establish the link between haki and science.

Emeth, a product created from science, unlocked the Conqueror's Haki of one of the strongest Haki users in history. Nami's link to these knots could also indicate that she could use some kind of Conqueror's Haki in the future. This also links two other Straw Hats to Conqueror's Haki since they are related to science.

Sanji, the product of Vinsmoke Judge's experiment whose body wasn't modified, unlike his siblings, and Franky, who modified his body through science and became a cyborg, are also products of science, just like Emeth. So, they could also showcase Conqueror's Haki in the future.

Final thoughts

This theory is entirely speculative as the only basis it used was Emeth untieing the knot of JoyBoy. Stating Nami and the group as Conqueror's Haki users of the future is also entirely speculative.

However, their relation to Emeth could indicate that they could be assigned a role in the future where they would untie knots that have the Conqueror's Haki of their comrades, Luffy or Zoro, just like what Emeth did.
