With Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 224’s release week at hand, fans can’t wait to see spoilers begin to drop over the coming days, hopefully illuminating what can be expected from the issue. While fans have a good idea of what the overall subject matter of the upcoming issue will be, exact details are being heavily debated right now.

More specifically, sects of the series’ fanbase are arguing over whether or not Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 224 will see Satoru Gojo continue to dominate or if Sukuna will mount a comeback. While their fight will undoubtedly be continued in the next release, exactly what’s next after Gojo’s impressive opening volley is difficult to speculate on.

As mentioned above, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 224 is most likely to take one of two overarching routes. The first will see Satoru Gojo, with the help of Utahime Iori, Kiyotaka Ijichi, and Yoshinobu Gakuganji, continue to dominate Ryomen Sukuna. The other would see Sukuna instead turn the tables, likely via the use of a yet-unseen Cursed Technique (especially since it seems a tad early to use the Ten Shadows Technique).

In the former scenario, the aforementioned trio who are currently supporting Gojo will likely continue to do so. It doesn’t make sense for them to help solely for the opening shot, unless a Cursed Technique of Sukuna’s puts them in harm's way or Gojo specifically has them stop. While the latter choice would be somewhat questionable, it’s nevertheless an appropriate reason for Gojo to go it alone.

That being said, fans will more likely than not see the anti-Sukuna foursome continue working as a team in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 224. Gakuganji may be seen following up Gojo’s attacks with some of his own, likely also boosted by Utahime. This would also explain why Gojo approached Sukuna so casually at the last issue’s end, going to distract Sukuna so an Utahime-boosted Gakuganji could land some attacks.

The installment could also see Gojo and Sukuna instead begin fighting in more close-quarters combat, which Sukuna would expect to be disadvantaged in due to missing a hand. In either case, the method of attack that begins in the upcoming chapter will likely continue through its end.

If Sukuna does somehow turn the tables, however, it’s difficult to guess exactly how this would occur. As all fans know, Sukuna still has several Cursed Techniques left, with even just one unforeseen ability potentially causing hell for Gojo in this fight. Likewise, it could be revealed that Gojo has played into Sukuna’s trap from the start of their battle.

Sukuna may even be shown using the Ten Shadows Technique in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 224. Likewise, with this technique generally being considered the best anti-Gojo offensive, it could signal that the fight between the two will be over very shortly. However, this is all speculative, with spoilers and raw scans hopefully shedding some light on what fans can expect later in the week.
