With the shocking shift in perspective that kicked off the series’ previous release in mind, fans are now excitedly awaiting Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240 and the start of a fantastic fight. This matchup is, of course, none other than Kenjaku versus Fumihiko Takaba, which got off to a hilarious start in the final moments of the latest issue.

While verifiable spoilers for the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240 aren’t available right now, there are some key developments fans can expect. Unsurprisingly, at the top of this list is the continuation or, rather, the official start of Kenjaku versus Takaba.

As for what fans will see in the fight, there are two routes Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240 will likely take above all others.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240 is likely to confirm that Takaba is still unaware of his own Cursed Technique

Major spoilers to expect

Exactly how Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240 progresses will be heavily influenced by whether or not Takaba has become aware of and honed his Cursed Technique. Given how Comedian works, it can be a Cursed Technique strong enough to rival any opponent if Takaba were simply to become aware of it and train in how to wield it.

Likewise, with Takaba’s actions in the month from Gojo’s release to now still unknown, it’s entirely possible that he was chosen to fight Kenjaku because he trained with his Technique. However, it’s equally possible that the rest of the Tokyo Jujutsu High group chose Takaba because they recognized he could still be a serious threat to Kenjaku even without mastery of his own Technique.

That being said, it’s likely that Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240 will reveal that Takaba has yet to become aware of and master his own Cursed Technique.

The biggest reason for this is likely the fact that Kenjaku wouldn’t have a sensible way to overcome Takaba’s mastered Cursed Technique. This is further supported by the fact that Takaba is established as a potential rival to Satoru Gojo, whereas Kenjaku sealed Gojo specifically because he knew he couldn’t beat him.

With this in mind, the upcoming chapter will almost certainly focus on Kenjaku trying to figure out exactly how Takaba’s Cursed Technique works. Takaba, in turn, will likely remember instructions from the others to essentially think of everything as funny, which would, in turn, keep his Cursed Technique perpetually active.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240 should see Kenjaku start coming up with some sort of hypothesis on Takaba’s Cursed Technique, but he’s unlikely to fully figure it out in one issue. As a result, fans should expect this fight to be a multi-chapter one, possibly even of a comparable length to Gojo versus Sukuna.

While it’s likely that Takaba will not be shown to have mastered his Cursed Technique in the upcoming release, the chapter will look very different if this is the case. In such a scenario, fans can expect to see Kenjaku perpetually on the ropes, seemingly unable to do anything whatsoever against a monster of his own making.
