Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 266 recap
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 266 began with Megumi’s reappearance, telling Yuji he’d done enough. He then explained that his goal was basically to give Tsumiki as happy a life as possible, showing Yuji to be a part of this fantasy.
Yuji then explained his Grandpa’s sickness, adding that he has no right to tell Megumi that he has to live likewise. Sukuna then activated Hollow Wicker Basket, with the two beginning to fight as Sukuna maintained this barrier.
Sukuna ranted about how shocked he was that Yuji was able to incite such anger within him, as Yuji spoke to a young Megumi in the alley he met Gojo. Megumi asked a crying Yuji the same question, seeing Yuji say a tearful goodbye to his friend.
However, in reality, Sukuna was then bogged down by the Ten Shadows Technique, confirmed to be Megumi’s doing. Yuji landed a massive hit on Sukuna and smiled before rushing back in to continue hitting him.
The two furiously and rapidly punched each other, while Yuji prepared to shatter Hollow Wicker Basket. However, Sukuna used Dismantle on Yuji’s arm instead, revealing he was wearing gauntlets the entire time.
It also confirmed an unaccounted for missing finger of Yuji’s as he beat Sukuna to open his Domain Expansion. The issue ended with a look at Sukuna’s true last finger, suggesting Yuji’s finger is what gave Yuta the ability to Copy Dismantle.
What to expect from Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 267? (speculative)
Heading into Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 267, there are some significant balls in the air which need to come down.
The first of these is explaining the look at Sukuna’s final finger and how it may play into the series’ end, with a Nobara Kugisaki return being the best explanation as it currently stands. However, there could also be a trick Sukuna has up his sleeve relating to it.
There’s also the fact that Megumi now appears to be able to use his own Cursed Technique again, even against Sukuna’s will. Chapter 267 will likely see Megumi either stifled by Sukuna or fighting further, in turn alluding to whether or not Megumi had a singular moment of inspiration or now truly wants to live with Yuji.
