Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 270 largely provided an overview on the wrapup from the Shinjuku Showdown arc. This started with Megumi visiting his sister Tsumiki’s grave, thanking Shoko for setting it up. They discussed how she should’ve handled Geto’s body too before Megumi is called for a mission. It’s implied Shoko decided to quit smoking after this. Focus then shifted to the Holy Mountain of Hida, where it’s revealed Tengen’s remains exist via Sukuna’s remains. Gakuganji, Utahime, and Akari discussed what they need to do to maintain the barrier moving forward.

The focus then shifted to Maki, who was speaking with Daido and Miyo about the future of Culling Game players. She told them they’d likely be killed via separation from their hosts, but added Tokyo is a good place to hide out and live. Daido asked Maki to be there when it was time for him to be called, saying he’d take her down then. Focus then shifted once again to Charles Bernard and his editor, working on a manga while discussing the industry.

The focus shifted once again to Takaba, who had found a new comedy partner who looked suspiciously like Suguru Geto/Kenjaku. Rin Amai then apologized to the boy he watched get bullied, while Hiromi returned to lawyering while also confirming he’d work as a sorcerer. Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 271 will likely open up with a brief focus on the Curse User whom Yuji and co are chasing, teasing their identity and powers in the process. Focus will likely then shift back to the series’ central trio, seeing them begin the hunt for the Curse User. They’ll likely start by tracking Cursed Spirits, eventually running into the user as a result.

However, it’s difficult to predict where chapter 271 will continue from here given the ambiguity on the status of a sequel to Mangaka Gege Akutami’s series. If there isn’t a sequel, the issue will likely end as they defeat the Curse User, teasing the trio living their lives fully and happily. If there is a sequel, fans can expect this new Curse User to only be the start of the next sinister plot unearthed by the three of them.
