Heavenly Restriction: 10 Jujutsu Kaisen characters who would have been broken with Heavenly Restriction

Among the roster of Jujutsu Kaisen characters, those with Heavenly Restriction were quite intriguing. This was a rare condition seen in only 3 sorcerers so far. It took away the one thing that the Jujutsu World functioned on—Cursed Energy (CE). Hence, Toji Fushiguro and Maki Zenin were born with nearly zero CE.

However, there was a trade-off that each received: enhanced physical prowess, durability, and reactions. Having little to no CE is exactly why both Toji and Maki were extremely dangerous, making them undetectable by CE users. As Ryomen Sukuna states about Maki, their very existence defied the laws of Jujutsu.

But that wasn't all—there was another type of Heavenly Restriction seen only in Kokichi Muta, aka Mechamaru. In his case, he received immensely powerful and potent CE in exchange for his physical attributes, born without a right arm and a lower body that didn't work. Even so, he gave a tough battle to Mahito, and was generally quite powerful when controlling the Mechamaru puppet.

While Toji, Kokichi, and Maki proved formidable, what if Heavenly Restriction was bestowed upon other Jujutsu Kaisen characters?

Jujutsu Kaisen characters who would be ridiculously powerful with Heavenly Restriction

1) Gojo Satoru

Probably the most popular of Jujutsu Kaisen characters, Gojo Satoru might not have been the strongest modern-day sorcerer with Heavenly Restriction, but he would definitely be a force to reckon with. He would be one of those Jujutsu Kaisen characters who could be powerful with either Heavenly Restriction.

To begin with, had he started out with zero CE, his physical prowess is surprising to no one. Time and again he has shown the skill he possesses at hand-to-hand combat. With this type of Heavenly Restriction, he would probably be like Maki/Toji. On the flip side, even though his limbs would be non-functional, his control and CE to use Jujutsu would still be of quite a high level.

2) Suguru Geto

Another one of the most popular Jujutsu Kaisen characters, Suguru Geto too, would be a freak of nature with Heavenly Restriction. Given his command over Jujutsu and his advanced fighting skills, either type of Heavenly Restriction would suit him.

With no CE, he would have incredible physical prowess and probably would have trained himself differently. Again, with large CE reserves, despite having a damaged body, he would yet be powerful enough to give strong sorcerers a run for their money. After all, he wasn't called "The Strongest" alongside Gojo for nothing.

3) Ryomen Sukuna

When one thinks of Jujutsu Kaisen characters, the name Ryomen Sukuna cannot be ignored. Termed "The King of Curses," he was a terrifying Curse who terrorized the Heian Era before being sealed away into 20 indestructible fingers. Sukuna with Heavenly Restriction would be equally scary to go toe-to-toe with.

While little is known of his sorcerer days, it is an established fact that he was very serious when it came to Jujutsu sorcerery. He wanted to explore it completely, and that is eventually what led to him becoming a Curse. So, it would be the same with Heavenly Restriction—he would've honed himself to the point of extreme knowledge and evolved into a terrifying foe for anyone who dared oppose.

4) Yuta Okkotsu

Yuta Okkotsu was among the Jujutsu Kaisen characters tipped to have explosive potential. Starting out as a timid boy haunted by a Cursed Spirit, Yuta turned over a new leaf during his time at Jujutsu High. Now, he stands as one of the few faces slated to surpass Gojo Satoru in Jujutsu.

After witnessing Yuta's feats throughout the story, it can be safely said that he would not be broken with Heavenly Restriction. Despite having no CE, his already sharp and honed reflexes would be on another level. Moreover, being undetectable would make him a menace to face off against.

5) Todo Aoi

The eccentric and battle-crazed of Jujutsu Kaisen characters, Todo Aoi is another name that would be absolutely unstoppable with Heavenly Restriction. Needless to mention, Todo's large muscular physique is what jumps out at the viewer. Moreover, his fighting style is that of being up close and personal. He has anyway shown that he possesses superior physical capabilities.

Now, with Heavenly Restriction, he would be even more difficult to deal with. True enough, he would lose the surprise element of Boogie Woogie. However, that wouldn't make much of a difference when he overwhelms his opponent with sheer physical might.

6) Hiromi Higuruma

Alongside Yuta, Hiromi Higuruma was among those Jujutsu Kaisen characters tipped to have explosive potential. Initially not a sorcerer, he made leaps and bounds of progress in Jujutsu sorcerery when his powers were awakened thanks to the Culling Games.

If he was able to master a considerable bit of Jujutsu in about a month, there is no telling how far he would've gone with Heavenly Restriction. Moreover, even during the Shinjuku Showdown, he kept evolving as he fought Sukuna. Similarly, each fight would teach him more of his abilities, and hence, a truly overpowered sorcerer would be born.

7) Kinji Hakari

Finally, alongside Yuta and Higuruma, Kinji Hakari is the last of Jujutsu Kaisen characters with explosive potential on this list. His Cursed Technique is one of the series' most complex but probably one of the most powerful. Achieving immortality and having insane luck is what makes Hakari a force to be reckoned with.

He is another character who would make full use of his Heavenly Restriction. The enhanced physical capabilities would complement his fighting style, which is similar to Todo Aoi's, i.e., close ranged hand-to-hand combat.

8) Kento Nanami

Fans have nothing but love for Kento Nanami. Since his introduction, Nanami has never failed to seize the spotlight when afforded the opportunity. Strict about working only during working hours, Nanami's true power begins to shine after work thanks to his Binding Vow of Overtime.

Given his type of Jujutsu sorcery, having Heavenly Restriction wouldn't make him all that different. Like Todo and Hakari, Nanami takes on a more close-ranged combat style of battle, often imbuing his physical attacks with CE. With Heavenly Restriction, he wouldn't need to do that since he would be physically enhanced beyond his already impressive physical attributes.

9) Yuki Tsukumo

Everyone's favorite Special Grade Sorcerer, Yuki Tsukumo was given limited screen time yet she managed to shine through. With the unique Innate Technique Star Rage, Yuki proved why she was a Special Grade during the Shibuya Arc and then when she fought Kenjaku.

With Heavenly Restriction, she too would stand among the strongest sorcerers. Her physical abilities need no introduction, nor do her tactical intellect and keen Battle IQ. Boosted physical capabilities coupled with her IQ brings forth a beast few can stand against.

10) Naobito Zenin

Finally, concluding this list of Jujutsu Kaisen characters who would be insanely powerful with Heavenly Restriction is Naobito Zenin. A Special Grade 1 Sorcerer and head of the Zenin Clan, Naobito's strength in his Projection Sorcerery, appearing to move faster than he actually was, and overwhelm his opponents.

But without that, he is quite a capable hand-to-hand combatant with loads of battle experience. Heavenly Restriction would be another tool for him to use; it would, once more, add on to his battle style and actually help him be faster and hit harder than he normally did.
