Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 266 was recently leaked and showed the elements of what makes Megumi's true happiness, along with the character's long-awaited return. While it was certain that author Gege Akutami was eventually going to bring back Megumi Fushiguro, the recent comments made by the sorcerer regarding Yuji Itadori surprised a lot of people.
This development was something quite interesting because it highlights Megumi's bond with Yuji in Jujutsu Kaisen and the impact that the latter has had on the former's life. It also shows Fushiguro finally seeing value in living beyond just saving his sister Tsumiki and not throwing it away, which is something that happened since Ryomen Sukuna took over his body.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 266 shows that Megumi's true happiness involves Yuji Itadori
Chapter 266 of the manga finally gave Megumi Fushiguro a lot of focus after a long time and fought back against Ryomen Sukuna, which also gave room to add more to his characterization. A good example was how Megumi's true happiness was connected to several things, including having Yuji Itadori in his life, which surprised a lot of people in the fandom.
Yuji and Megumi met at the very beginning of the series, and their friendship was one of the cornerstones of the story as a whole. Megumi was the one who got Yuji into the world of sorcery and allowed him to save his life and do something meaningful, while the latter added more positivity and optimism to the former's existence.
So, it makes a lot of sense that Fushiguro decided to fight back against Sukuna when he realized there was more to life than just battling to rescue his now-deceased sister Tsumiki. In that regard, there is an argument to be made that Yuji Itadori was pivotal in giving him more to fight for, which is on full display in this recent chapter.
What to expect from the coming chapters
It is difficult to gauge how the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen chapters are going to pan out, especially considering the now-infamous "Sukuna cycle" in the manga. However, when compared to previous challenges that the King of Curses has gone up against, this battle against Yuji Itadori feels like a much more definitive fight between these two characters.
In that regard, Megumi Fushiguro contributing to the fight can corner Sukuna at a whole new level when considering that the latter was in control of the former's body. There is also the element of other characters who could contribute to the battle later on, although this is mere fan speculation at the moment.
It is also worth pointing out that some plot points need to be addressed, such as Yuta Okkotsu in Satoru Gojo's body, whose current state has not been fully explained after he passed out. And there is the running issue of the battle between Uraume and Kinji Hakari, which has become a meme in the community because of how ignored this fight has been in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
Final thoughts
The source of Megumi's true happiness involving Yuji Itadori is something that surprised a lot of Jujutsu Kaisen fans all over the world. However, this is also a positive change when it comes to Fushiguro's character, as he is starting to walk away from the tragic sadness he felt for so long in the story, especially after Tsumiki's death.
