Both Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen are considered to be some of the best modern shonen anime titles and their success speaks volumes in this regard. While the fanbases often get involved in petty squabbles on the internet, there are a couple of rare occasions wherein fans from both sides come together and create something spectacular.

Recently, one such moment was witnessed on X (formerly known as Twitter). A fan of both titles edited Kibutsuji Muzan's walking sequence, which appeared in the most recent episode of the series. The end product was surprisingly well-received by both fanbases since it managed to celebrate the aforementioned shonen titles.

Jujutsu Kaisen fans give SPECIALZ twist to Muzan's walk in Demon Slayer

Kibutsuji Muzan’s walking sequence is one of the trending clips on X and other social media platforms. With an aura as menacing as the Demon King himself, fans are genuinely worried for Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s life.

The recent fan edit has been especially lauded by fans of both series, as the user @JujutsuTwts used the opening theme song from the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen. Titled SPECIALZ by King Gnu, this song fits Muzan’s walking sequence perfectly. In some parts, the song's beat and rhythm were perfectly aligned with the cuts, impressing both fan bases even more.

Furthermore, the song complemented Muzan's confident yet intimidating demeanor as he made his way towards Kagaya Ubuyashiki.

How fans reacted to Muzan’s walking sequence edit

"ngl this is even better", said one fan.
"To be fair that song takes everything to the next level", said another.
"Kimetsu no Kaisen!", said one netizen.

It's clear that fans thoroughly enjoyed this particular edit. The majority of the fanbase also believed that the soundtrack employed elevated the walking sequence, which was well-received in the first place.

Netizens also praised the soundtrack, SPECIALZ, for significantly improving the quality of the edits. Fans also dubbed this collaboration Kimetsu no Kaisen, which is a portmanteau of both the shonen titles.

"Music is slightly off with the scene. Cool concept thou.", said one fan.
"Muzan jackson", said another.
"lmao", said one netizen.

A small portion of the comments section wasn't particularly pleased with the end result. These netizens felt that the music didn't fit the edit perfectly because the song was written specifically for a different anime series, and attempting to fit it into another sequence seemed a little out of place. With that said, others found this rather hilarious, and the Muzan x Michael Jackson memes ensued.

All in all, this was an edit that was enjoyed by both fanbases. This is a rare example of how two fanbases can collaborate without engaging in fan wars on social media platforms.
