Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 257 has recently been leaked online, and it contains many significant revelations regarding the origins of Ryomen Sukuna and Yuji Itadori. It has been confirmed that Sukuna had a twin when he was in his mother's womb and ate it, but the latter's soul was somehow found with Kenjaku, which led to the creation of Jin Itadori, Yuji's father.
In Kaori's body, Kenjaku birthed Yuji, thus connecting the protagonist to Sukuna, which has been a long-running theory across the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom. Now that it has been confirmed, it was also revealed that Yuji has access to Sukuna's Cursed Technique, which is called Shrine, but what is even more interesting is the fact that the protagonist has access to another Technique, which is Blood Manipulation.

Explaining how Yuji Itadori has two of the most powerful Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen
As mentioned earlier, chapter 257 of the manga confirmed that Yuji's father, Jin, was the reincarnation of Sukuna's twin, the latter of whom ate in the womb. While it hasn't been confirmed how Kenjaku got a hold of the deceased twin, it also revealed that Yuji has the potential to rival Sukuna since Cursed Techniques are shared by family members and these two characters are related.
This is how Yuji has access to the Shrine Cursed Technique, the slashes that Sukuna has been using throughout the series. Yuji used that ability in the most recent chapter. However, Sukuna pointed out that they are weaker than his because the protagonist doesn't have experience using them, and the user's personality also influences how some Cursed Technique works.
Yuji also has Blood Manipulation because he managed to learn that technique. He is partially a Cursed Womb due to his family connection with Kenjaku. The centuries-old sorcerer was involved in the birth of Yuji, Choso, and the other Cursed Wombs, which is why his Kamo DNA merged with them, thus giving all of those characters the Blood Manipulation technique, including the protagonist of the series.
The increase of Yuji's power and his potential
The month between Satoru Gojo being released from his seal and his battle with Ryomen Sukuna was instrumental in Yuji Itadori's development. A long-running criticism regarding his character was that he wasn't strong enough to face the main antagonists and didn't have the story's focus, although that month proved to be instrumental in the final battle.
As of chapter 257 of the manga, Yuji has used Blood Manipulation, Shrine, and the Reverse Cursed Technique. He has also become the most proficient Black Flash user and possesses physical virtues that can rival Heavenly Restriction users such as Toji Fushiguro and Maki Zen'in. Therefore, it is safe to assume that Yuji has become one of the most powerful sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Perhaps the biggest criticism these revelations could get is that most of Yuji's development as a sorcerer happened offscreen, which is a fair point since fans didn't see his growth. However, it is important to wait for the series to end to give a more balanced critique of how this came to be.
Final thoughts
Yuji Itadori now has a Cursed Technique that is part of one of the most prominent clans in Jujutsu society (the Kamo clan) and also one that belongs to the most powerful sorcerer in history (Sukuna). Therefore, it is safe to assume that he has become one of the most powerful sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen.
