Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 (262.5) is set to be released on July 8, 2024, but spoilers have already been released. The chapter saw Yuta receive an unexpected from Inumaki through a tape recorder. While this has added confusion on one side, it also made this tool more overpowered than some special-grade ones.

The chapter also continued the fight between Sukuna and Yuta as the latter started to feel difficulty controlling the body of Gojo Satoru. Yuta tried to chant Hollow Technique: Purple but the King of Curses stopped him from doing so.

To counter the antagonist, he threw a tape recorder towards him which had Inumaki's cursed technique. This froze the King of Curses in his place, giving Yuta a chance to hit him. Surprisingly, compared to the usefulness of some old cursed tools, this tape recorder was more efficient and crucial considering how it was able to overpower the King of Curses.

According to the Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 spoilers, Okkotsu Yuta started chanting for the Hollow Purple cursed technique after pondering how to counter the King of Curses.

Anticipating his attack, the King of Curses jumped towards Yuta and restrained him to avoid making the hand seal for this attack. Yuta took this chance and hit Sukuna with Lapse Blue and threw a tape recorder towards him.

The tape recorder had Inumaki's voice saying "Don't Move" which was also his cursed technique. This froze Sukuna where he stood and gave Yuta to complete his chant for Hollow Purple. As of the current chapter, this tape recorder has not been listed as a cursed tool, meaning that it could just be a normal recorder that Inumaki used to record his voice.

Compared to this tape recorder, there are several cursed tools in the series that weren't as useful. The earliest cursed tool was Maki's spear which was also her first-choice weapon, but was destroyed in the battle against Hanami.

In the same battle, Playful Cloud was also introduced. This weapon was able to overpower Hanami for a while but wasn't able to finish her off. Therefore, against the King of Curses, these cursed tools could hardly be considered useful.

Mahoraga's Sword of Extermination is one of the most potent cursed tools in the series. Unfortunately, it was no match against the King of Curses. So, the cursed tools that were in the possession of every Jujutsu High student were more or less not effective enough, even though the majority of them were of special grade.

On the other hand, the tape recorder that appeared in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 was in a league of its own. It was as if Inumaki was present there alongside Yuta in the battle against Sukuna despite likely being miles away from the battlefield. So, what this recorder was able to do makes the special-grade cursed tools look like toys.
