With author and illustrator Gege Akutami’s health issues now seemingly and thankfully dealt with, fans are eagerly awaiting the Jujutsu Kaisen manga’s next official release in chapter 263. The cliffhanger from the previous installment is especially contributing to this anticipation, with Yuta seemingly executing his last-ditch effort to land a Hollow Purple on Sukuna.
Likewise, Jujutsu Kaisen fans are eager for spoilers on the upcoming issue. However, as of this article’s writing, there are unfortunately no verifiable spoilers for the series whatsoever. Thankfully, these spoilers should become available later in the release week via the typical reputable sources in the series’ leaker community.
That being said, there are aspects of and events within Jujutsu Kaisen’s upcoming official release that fans can likely count on being present even without verifiable spoilers. Unsurprisingly, this largely revolves around Yuta Okkotsu, who is unfortunately likely to lose his fight against Sukuna in the coming issue.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s next release likely to see Yuta’s death and the subsequent disappearance of Rika
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 will likely open with a continued focus on Yuta and Sukuna, possibly immediately going into a flashback explaining Yuta’s latest move. In this case, fans can expect to see Yuta and Inumaki discussing the possibility of applying the latter’s Cursed Technique in this way, possibly even testing it on someone.
However, in turn, this is likely to reveal some sort of drawback on Inumaki, possibly even confirming that the panels of him seen in the last issue were real-time, present looks at him. From here, focus should return to Yuta and Sukuna’s battle within the Domain, confirming whether or not Sukuna truly is immobilized. Fans will likely see Yuta begin firing the Hollow Purple, but get no confirmation as to whether or not Sukuna is immobilized.
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 will likely then shift focus to Rika, who’ll be revealed as having sensed something happening to Yuta. This should prompt a shift in focus to Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todo, who are on the outskirts of the barrier for the Unlimited Void Domain Expansion. They’ll likely comment on the barrier breaking down, with Yuta’s lifeless corpse (as Satoru Gojo) being flung through the barrier to crack it.
Sukuna will then likely step out, revealing that he is slightly injured from the Hollow Purple but was able to escape defeat via the use of yet another move that only Gojo would’ve known. In turn, Sukuna will likely highlight that Yuta’s failure was in not being skilled enough with Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique to fully access Gojo’s memories.
An enraged Yuji will likely be looking to rush at Sukuna here, stopped only by Todo’s words urging restraint. At this point, Yuta (still in Gojo’s body) will likely stir and rise again, confirming that he can survive once the two minutes are up. Moreover, Yuta will likely have another Hollow Purple ready to go but aim it at Yuji or Todo instead of Sukuna.
The issue will likely end with Sukuna realizing their plan as it’s too late, trying to rush at Yuta but being swapped by Todo with either Yuji or himself as Yuta prepares to fire. The chapter will likely end with a focus on Rika, who’ll be cheering Yuta on but seemingly worried or possibly even fading away, suggesting that Yuta’s own life force is powering this next Hollow Purple.
