With seemingly all of the major Shinjuku Showdown arc wrapup having been concluded in chapter 269, Jujutsu Kaisen fans are incredibly curious to see what chapter 270 has in store. More specifically, fans are curious because they are unsure as to what the issue’s focus will be as the penultimate installment in the entire series.

Unfortunately, verifiable spoilers for the next installment in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series are unavailable as of this article’s writing. These spoilers are likely to come out later this week, now that the series’ break week is indeed over. However, the series’ spoiler process is also liable to go defunct at any time without warning, meaning there’s no certainty regarding if spoilers will come, let alone when.

Thankfully, there are certain aspects of the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen installment that fans can count on being present, even without the help of verifiable spoilers. In any scenario, a focus will likely be given to Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro ahead of the manga’s conclusion, even if a Part 2 is coming. Likewise, fans can also expect some setup of a potential sequel if one is coming via mention of the battle between the Gojo and Kamo clans for sorcery world superiority.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 270 will likely open with a focus on Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro after a brief time-skip. This section of the issue will likely open with the pair performing typical sorcerer duties, such as eliminating a Cursed Spirit from a nearby area. It’ll likely be a mundane, run-of-the-mill encounter, very simply seeing the pair eliminate the curse before speaking with whoever was affected by the Spirit’s presence.

This will likely lead to Megumi seeing himself and his late sister Tsumiki in whoever they save, with Yuji noticing Megumi’s sudden change in behavior as a result. The focus will likely shift to the pair by themselves, where Yuji will ask Megumi how he’s been doing since the Shinjuku Showdown arc’s events. This should result in Megumi’s character arc being fully resolved, at least within the confines of the manga’s first part and its events.

Chapter 270 will likely see Megumi flip the same question onto Yuji, especially considering he no longer has the purpose he once did of collecting, containing, and dying with Ryomen Sukuna. Yuji is unlikely to give a definitive answer on what he plans to do here but should expand on his current feelings and how reuniting with Megumi is enough for him for now. Megumi will likely smile at this as the two are interrupted, most likely by Nobara Kugisaki.

Assuming Jujutsu Kaisen mangaka Gege Akutami is setting up for a second part, Nobara’s appearance should lead to the reveal that something has happened in the world of sorcery. The focus will likely shift back to Tokyo Jujutsu High, where Maki Zen’in, Yuta Okkotsu, and others are seen watching as Atsuya Kusakabe, Mei Mei, and others meet with a Gojo or Kamo clan head.

This should reveal that the battle between the two remaining of the Big Three Families either has already begun or is about to begin. Whichever clan head is present will likely be attempting to convince the remaining Zen’in clan members and Tokyo Jujutsu High to join their side. The issue will likely end with them leaving just as Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara arrive, with the clan head taking a significant interest in the trio given their role in defeating Sukuna.
