The Jujutsu Kaisen and Naruto fandoms have been crossing paths more frequently lately, as they often engage in heated arguments on social media. One such exchange took place recently on the social media platform X, where a fan claimed that Jujutsu Kaisen's Ryomen Sukuna is a better villain than Naruto's Madara Uchiha.

Given that Sukuna and Madara are two of the strongest and most popular antagonists in their respective franchises, it only made sense for them to be pitted against each other at some point. That said, such posts on social media often start an all-out war between the involved fandoms, which is what ended up happening when comparing The Ghost of the Uchiha to The King of Curses.

Comparing different anime series on social media has become a common practice as of late, with Jujutsu Kaisen and Naruto being some of the most frequent topics of discussion. Given that they are two of the most popular series of the new and old generations of anime, comparisons and debates are only to be expected.

A recent trend on the social media platform X saw fans compare anime characters in order to determine who was a better character. It was a part of a thread of posts that saw one fan compare villains like Chainsaw Man's Makima to Demon Slayer's Kibutsuji Muzan, Bleach's Sosuke Aizen to Hunter x Hunter's Meruem, and One Punch Man's Garou to Dragon Ball's Frieza.

Among these controversial comparisons, one that caused the most fan outrage was the claim that Jujutsu Kaisen's Ryomen Sukuna was a better villain than Naruto's Madara Uchiha.

Both Sukuna and Madara are exceptional villains belonging to some of the most popular anime series of their respective generations. While a comparison between them was bound to happen at some point, it ended up causing a full-blown war of words between the Jujutsu Kaisen and Naruto fandoms.

How fans reacted to the Madara vs. Sukuna comparison

As one would expect, the claim that Sukuna is a better villain than Madara did not go over well with the fans on social media. One particular fan went so far as to say that Sukuna is just Madara without the latter's complex writing, which further enraged others.

"Sukuna is a better written character than madara," one fan claimed boldly.
"He (Sukuna) doesn't come close to any old gen villain let alone madara," said another.
"Sukuna being in the same sentence as Madara is disrespectful," another chimed in.
"Bro Sukuna should not be compared to Naruto villains writing, jjk fights are good yes but its far.. very far away from Narutos writing," claimed another fan.

There were many fans who pointed out that Sukuna and Madara are nothing alike and that the two have almost nothing in common other than their love for fighting. On the other hand, there were also those who opted not to compare the two and simply praised them for being some of the best villains in the anime world.

"What are you talking about? They are not similar even remotely. The only similarity they have is coming back from the dead and having some crazy hands. Their motivations, personalities and themes couldn’t be more different," one fan declared.
"Both fit their respective stories pretty well so I don't understand why we comparing. I love both," said one fan.
