Jujutsu Kaisen has received a lot of praise for its battle system, but one of the biggest inconsistencies come with the Black Flash technique. Not only because it comes out of nowhere, as stated by the characters themselves, which can be a major plot convenience, but also it has been said that this ability can raise the user's power by 2.5.
It might be difficult to comprehend at first, but if it proves to be true in Jujutsu Kaisen, that presents a series of inconsistencies throughout the manga because the characters' strength should be a lot higher.
There are examples with some of the strongest sorcerers in the series, like Satoru Gojo and Ryomen Sukuna, where they should have decimated their enemies without any issues, but their targets still survived, which makes the boost in power ilogical.

Explaining some of the inconsistencies with Black Flash in Jujutsu Kaisen
It has been stated in the manga that a Black Flash can raise a character's power by 2.5, which is a plothole in and out itself because it should have led to much more different outcomes.
For example, when Ryomen Sukuna hit Maki Zen'in twice with a Black Flash, this power-up should have been enough to decimate her into pieces, but she survived and kept fighting.
Moreover, Sukuna himself should have been destroyed when hit by Satoru Gojo's Black Flash, but he kept fighting. While some may argue in this case that the King of Curses is strong enough to withstand an attack of this caliber, it's worth pointing out that Gojo is close in power to this version of Sukuna, so an increase in strength of this type should have been enough to destroy Sukuna.
The increase of 2.5 makes no sense when considering that this growth in power should allow characters to utterly atomize others when hitting them with a Black Flash.
A good example of this was how Mahito hit Yuji Itadori in the Shibuya Incident arc with a Black Flash, which should have been enough to take the protagonist's life when taking into account that their gap in power wasn't that big.
Other elements involving the Black Flash
All things considered, the biggest Black Flash offender in Jujutsu Kaisen took place during the Shinjuku Showdown arc as Yuji Itadori made excessive use of this technique against Sukuna.
There's even a section where Yuji, a sorcerer known for his superhuman strength, hit the King of Curses with several Black Flashes in a row, which should have been enough to kill the villain.
The general problem is that the Black Flash has been established as a massive power-up for the user, but the consequences don't reflect the said degree of strength. All things considered, there are several moments where characters should have died when hit by this attack but still survived and kept fighting, which is a plothole in and out itself.
Final thoughts
Jujutsu Kaisen has some major inconsistencies, and the role of the Black Flash technique is a significant plothole when considering how it shows up and the level of damage it can cause.
It's something that author Gege Akutami didn't handle properly, which hurt some major fights in the series, in retrospect.
