Jujutsu Kaisen manga chapter 261 revealed Yuta's plan to devour Kenjaku and eventually use his technique to take over Gojo's body. The fanbase has had a mixed reaction to Yuta possessing Gojo's body. However, many fans have taken this opportunity to highlight the potential return of Gojo himself due to the number of uncertainties overlapping with each other.

Many plot points regarding the resurrection of souls, along with the true nature of souls, have been discussed since the beginning of the series. This has led many fans to believe that Yuta possessing Gojo and the numerous overlapping cursed techniques will eventually give rise to Gojo's resurrection, mirroring Toji's resurrection in Shibuya.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Gojo's return is all but confirmed

Although Gojo's body has now been possessed by Yuta Okkotsu, there is still a possibility for his return. Many different layers of cursed techniques and uncertainties are currently overlapping due to Yuta possessing his body. The last time something like this happened was in Shibuya, where it resulted in the resurrection of Toji Fushiguro.

The complexities inherent in the world of cursed techniques suggest that possession is not a permanent state and may be subject to reversal or transformation. The case of Toji Fushiguro's resurrection highlights how the unpredictable nature of these techniques can lead to unexpected outcomes. This precedent indicates that similar principles might apply to Gojo's situation.

In addition to the precedent set by Toji's return, Yuta Okkotsu's own abilities add another layer of possibility for Gojo's comeback. Yuta is known for his extraordinary potential and mastery over various cursed techniques, including the ability to manipulate and possibly undo certain curses.

His possession of Gojo's body introduces a unique dynamic, as Yuta's inherent skills could interact with Gojo's own formidable abilities. This could potentially lead to a scenario where Gojo can reclaim control or at least coexist within his body. This interplay of abilities could create an opportunity for Gojo's consciousness to reassert itself, especially given the volatile and often fluid nature of cursed energy and techniques.

Additionally, the intricate and often ambiguous nature of the binding vows and contracts within the Jujutsu world also contributes to the possibility of Gojo's return. Binding vows are known to have complex and sometimes unpredictable effects. In addition, the specific conditions under which Yuta's possession occurred might include loopholes or clauses that could be exploited.

The exact terms and conditions of these vows often involve intricate stipulations and contingencies. They might provide a pathway for Gojo to break free or for his consciousness to be restored in some capacity.

The historical context of powerful sorcerers returning from seemingly irreversible situations further supports the theory of Gojo's potential comeback. The Jujutsu world has seen instances of individuals having defied death or having been brought back through various means, be it through cursed techniques, ritualistic practices, or other supernatural interventions.

Past events include Toji Fushiguro coming back to life and Geto Suguru asserting a little bit of control over his own body during the Shibuya Incident. This made it clear that death is not a permanent thing and people can surely be resurrected or brought back, even if it is for a limited amount of time.

The nature of Gojo's own abilities and his unique status within the Jujutsu world should not be underestimated. He is undoubtedly the most special existence in the entire Jujutsu Kaisen universe, with every law and rule considering him an exception. As one of the most powerful sorcerers, Gojo has an exceptional understanding and command over his own cursed techniques, particularly the Limitless and the Six Eyes.
