The concept of Heavenly Restriction in the Jujutsu Kaisen world plays a pivotal role in shaping the destinies of twin sorcerers, creating a delicate balance between physical prowess and cursed energy. Among the Zenin sisters, Maki has emerged as a central figure, showcasing unparalleled strength and resilience.

However, what if Mai, the twin with cursed energy, had been the one to fully unlock her Heavenly Restriction? With her latent potential, including her unique Construct technique, Mai could have transcended her limitations, redefined her abilities, and become an indomitable force in the Jujutsu world, surpassing even Yorozu's feats.

During the Perfect Preparation arc, had Maki sacrificed herself instead of Mai, the latter would have had the opportunity to fully unlock her Heavenly Restriction. As a twin born with a higher cursed energy capacity than her sister, Mai's potential could have been truly remarkable.

Her innate technique, Construct, was an inefficient but powerful ability that allowed her to create something from nothing, albeit with severe drawbacks. If Mai had been gifted with the same immeasurable cursed energy reserves as Mechamaru, her Construct technique could have become a formidable asset.

Yorozu, with the Construct technique, was able to recreate any substance she recognized, except for special cursed tools. This ability, while impressive, was limited by the user's cursed energy reserves. In Mai's case, with an abundance of cursed energy at her disposal, her Construct technique could have been refined and amplified to an unprecedented degree.

Mai could have been able to conjure a vast array of powerful weapons, tools, or even defensive barriers on demand, without the crippling backlash she experienced previously.

Additionally, her long-range marksmanship skills, combined with the versatility of her Construct technique, could have made her a formidable combatant. The ability to create customized cursed tools or even engage in close-quarters combat with a constructed sword, as she did when sacrificing herself, could have turned the tide of many battles.

Yorozu's Construct technique, while impressive, was limited by the fact that she could not recreate special cursed tools. However, if Mai had inherited the full extent of her Heavenly Restriction, her Construct technique could have potentially overcome this limitation.

Imagine Mai being able to conjure the Chain of a Thousand Miles, the Inverted Spear of Heaven, or even the Festering Life Sword – powerful cursed tools that could have dramatically increased her arsenal and combat capabilities.

Furthermore, Mai's affinity for ranged combat and her sniping prowess could have been amplified by her Construct technique. She could have created specialized ammunition, sniper rifles, or even remote-controlled weapon systems to overwhelm her opponents from a distance.

This combined with her improved cursed energy output would have made Mai a formidable and versatile sorcerer, capable of adapting to any situation.

The concept of Heavenly Restriction is a double-edged sword, often leading to an imbalance of power between twin sorcerers. While Maki's journey has been the primary focus, one could argue that Mai, the cursed energy-rich twin, should have been the one to fully embrace her Heavenly Restriction.

With the potential to refine and amplify her Construct technique, Mai could have become a force to be reckoned with, surpassing even the capabilities of Yorozu and potentially becoming a valuable asset to the Jujutsu sorcerer community.

While Maki's physical prowess is undoubtedly impressive, the story could have taken an intriguing turn had Mai been given the opportunity to unleash her full potential.
