While Jujutsu Kaisen's Satoru Gojo was once known as the strongest sorcerer, he wasn't flawless as he too had a weakness. This was previously revealed by the anime's screenwriter who stated that the character's weakness was his soft heart. Hence, if his enemies were to prod on his emotions, they could capitalize on them to defeat him.

This was also evident from the events that took place in the Shibuya Incident Arc. While Gojo could have easily defeated Kenjaku, he was left shocked to see his deceased friend Suguru Geto standing in front of him in the flesh. Using this opportunity, Kenjaku sealed Gojo away in the Prison Realm.

However, in a recent interview with Gege Akutami, the manga creator revealed that Gojo's personality was his strength and also his weakness.

In a recent interview surrounding Satoru Gojo, Jujutsu Kaisen manga creator Gege Akutami was asked about the character's weaknesses and strengths.

"Born and raised in high society and recognized as the "Strongest" by both himself and others, he seems to have lived without much inconvenience. What do you think his weakness is?"
"What do you think are Gojo Satoru's true essential strenghts, beyond his innate abillities and bioligical advantages?"

In both cases, the manga creator responded with "his personality." This confirmed that Satoru Gojo's biggest shortcoming was also his biggest advantage.

Now, one may be left confused over how a character's biggest weakness can also be his greatest strength. But this was true in the case of Gojo. This is because, as revealed by the anime's screenwriter in the past, Gojo had a soft heart. This meant that his emotions could be swayed and prodded on if someone knew what could cause him to feel weak.

Evidently, Suguru Geto's death had a huge impact on him, which is why seeing Kenjaku donning his body in Shibuya left him frozen. Similarly, if all of Gojo's enemies knew what things triggered his emotions, they could have used the same to render him useless.

As for his personality being his greatest advantage, Satoru Gojo was the first sorcerer to be born with both the Limitless and the Six Eyes in the last four hundred years. Hence, evidently, he was quite gifted from the moment he was born.

But all of this would have ended up being wasted if Gojo did not carry the personality he did. If fans remember, Yuta Okkotsu was quite timid at the start and was doubtful about his abilities. If Gojo had carried a similar personality in the past, he would have never attained the level he did by the end of his lifespan. He considered himself to be the strongest and behaved as such to not only intimidate his enemies but also reassure his allies that he would be victorious.
