With the release of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 261, the manga finally revealed what role Yuji Itadori's friend Rin Amai had to play for the Jujutsu Sorcerers. However, amid these revelations in the chapter, it appears that manga creator Gege Akutami sneaked in a covert Black Clover reference in the latest chapter.

The manga chapter focused on Yuta Okkotsu taking over Satoru Gojo's body. Given that Yuta could steal Kenjaku's Cursed Technique, the Jujutsu Sorcerers planned for Yuta to take over Gojo's body if the strongest sorcerer were to die in the battle. Consequently, the chapter depicted Yuta as Gojo fighting Ryomen Sukuna.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Rin Amai's Cursed Technique might be inspired by Black Clover

In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 261, as the story delved into the details behind Yuta Okkotsu taking over Satoru Gojo's body, one scene explained Rin Amai's role within the Jujutsu Sorcerers.

The newly turned sorcerer explained that his Cursed Technique allowed him to increase his sugar level and transform it into a physical form. This allowed him to create desserts out of nothing. However, the technique came with its drawbacks, inducing hyperglycemia and lightheadedness post-usage.

Yuji Itadori even went on to check the pudding manifested by Amai, confirming its sweetness and edibility.

As for Shoko Ieiri, she inquired if Amai could possibly infuse another person with sugar content using his Cursed Technique. Amai seemed confident in his capabilities, prompting Shoko to ask for his assistance in the medical team, suggesting that he infuse both her and Arata Nitta's brains with sugar to compensate for the sugar they would spend while using their cursed techniques.

However, Rin Amai also needed to ensure he did not overdo it, as collapsing from elevated glucose levels would defeat the purpose.

Thinking about it, Charmy Pappitson from Yuki Tabata's Black Clover also plays a similar role for the Black Bulls. During battles, she spends the majority of her time replenishing other people's energy by having them consume the food she prepares using her Cotton Magic.

Charmy's Cotton Magic allows her to use her sheep to cook food that replenishes mana and heals one's body. There have been several moments when she has actively fed her teammates while they were expending their mana during battles.

Given Rin Amai's similar role in Jujutsu Kaisen's Shinjuku Showdown Arc, it is plausible to consider his Cursed Technique as somewhat reminiscent of Charmy Pappitson's Cotton Magic.

Hence, one can deduce that manga creator Gege Akutami might have drawn inspiration from Yuki Tabata's Black Clover when creating Amai Rin's Cursed Technique. Even if this assumption proves false, one cannot deny that both characters are assigned comparable roles in their respective manga series.
