Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 265 unveiled Yuji's Domain but the details regarding it are yet to be revealed as to what it was and how it worked. The only thing revealed about it was how it transported Yuji and his opponent to his childhood places and that the protagonist could use 'soul dismantle' as a sure-hit technique to release Megumi from Sukuna's control.
The scenery that Yuji and Sukuna were transported into told a few things, one of which was the mental state of the protagonist. The scenery shifted from a scenario that expressed Yuji's will to be free to a scenario where his anger kept growing, Yuji's domain expansion could be his emotions taking over him and making him do what he desired the most, which in this case was freeing his friend.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Exploring the true meaning behind Yuji's domain
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 264 ended with Yuji making a hand sign for his domain expansion. The next chapter commenced with the protagonist and Sukuna walking through a station as the King of Curses expressed his confusion over the protagonist's domain. The protagonist agreed with him and stated that he also wasn't aware of what his domain was.
As the chapter progressed, these two walked through places that had an important place in the protagonist's heart, hinting that Yuji's domain could be something related to his memories. The chapter ended with both of them sitting next to a broken statue as the protagonist threatened the King of Curses to leave Megumi's body so the protagonist could defeat the antagonist in one blow.
Sukuna ignored Yuji's call and these two started fighting inside Yuji's domain as the King of Curses tried his best to evade the domain's sure-hit technique, which was the 'soul dismantle' that directly hit the link between the antagonist and Megumi.
What's interesting about their fight is how it took place in different sceneries, just like the fight between Takaba and Kenjaku. However, just like how Takaba's cursed technique made every situation possible based on his jokes, the protagonist's domain might have done the same but every situation was expressing the state of mind he was in.
The fight began with these two fighting in the hills where birds flew. Flying birds, as seen in Attack on Titan, represent freedom, hinting that Yuji's mind was adamant about freeing Megumi from Sukuna's control.
Afterward, the scenery shifted towards a snowy forest as Megumi started to resist his control from inside his body. This made Yuji smile because he saw his friend's will to keep living. Moreover, this was also a throwback to the showdown between Yuji and Mahito from the Shibuya arc of Jujutsu Kaisen.
After utterly defeating Mahito and not killing him, the antagonist ran for his life and the scenery soon turned into a snowy forest where Mahito was the hunted and Yuji was the hunter.
Yuji's dialogue against Sukuna during the last part of the final part was also similar to his fight against Mahito because, just like the latter fight, Yuji claimed that he was just like Sukuna, just like what he said to Mahito.
So, Yuji's domain expansion could very well be the shape of his state of mind. As he was adamant about freeing Megumi, the domain worked wonders and the protagonist was successful in defeating Sukuna and freeing his friend from the antagonist's control.
