Jura's emergence in Boruto signals the potential for a definitive antagonist that Kenjaku, despite his complexities, ultimately fell short of becoming in Jujutsu Kaisen. Both characters are master manipulators, using their extensive knowledge and strategic abilities to alter events in their respective worlds.

However, where Kenjaku’s character arc concluded abruptly, leaving fans disappointed, Jura’s introduction and ambiguous motivations have stirred intrigue and anticipation among readers. With the opportunity to build on Jura’s unique powers and hidden goals, Boruto’s creators have a chance to craft a compelling antagonist, whose narrative impact could surpass what Kenjaku left unrealized.

Jura's potential as the definitive antagonist in the Boruto series, compared to Kenjaku in Jujutsu Kaisen

Jura and Kenjaku share numerous parallels that suggest Jura could become the antagonist that Kenjaku failed to be in Jujutsu Kaisen. Both characters are skilled manipulators, using their vast knowledge and strategic prowess to influence the events around them.

Kenjaku's ͏millennia-long life granted him a deep understanding of juj͏uts͏u͏ sorcery, while Jura'͏s combat experience imbued him with͏ a͏ similar͏ wisdom͏ and tactical acumen. J͏ura, on the other hand, possesses an array of͏ unique powers that enhance his battle abilities, including his ability to absorb and manipulate chakra. These powers ͏make both characters formidable ͏opponents, capable ͏of adapting to various situations and ͏overcoming challenges.

Morally, Kenjaku and Jura occupy a similar ambiguous space, with their true motivations remaining largely unclear. Kenjaku's ultimate goal is to "evolve" humanity by creating a world dominated by cursed spirits, while Jura's intentions in Boruto have been shrouded in mystery since his introduction.

This ambiguity allows for greater narrative depth, as readers and viewers are left to ponder the characters' true desires and the moral implications of their actions.

Gege Akutami gave an unsatisfactory ending for Kenjaku in Jujutsu Kaisen

Despite the aforementioned similarities between the two antagonists, Kenjaku's narrative arc in Jujutsu Kaisen ultimately fell short of expectations. Gege Akutami, the author, quickly dispatched Kenjaku toward the end, by having him decapitated by Okkotsu Yuta with the help of Aoi Todo.

This abrupt ending to the build-up and development of Kenjaku as a central antagonist left many fans feeling unsatisfied, as the character's vast potential and influence were not fully realized.

In contrast, Jura's introduction and continued presence in Boruto have created a strong sense of anticipation and intrigue among fans. Kishimoto, the creator of the Naruto universe, has the opportunity to learn from Akutami's misstep with Kenjaku and provide a more satisfying and impactful narrative arc for Jura.

Given the similarities between Jura and Kenjaku, and the potential pitfalls of Kenjaku's narrative arc, Kishimoto has the chance to create a truly captivating and definitive antagonist in Jura.

By building upon the character's already strong foundations, further developing his motivations and abilities, and crafting a more satisfying conclusion to his story, Kishimoto can ensure that Jura becomes the antagonist that Kenjaku could not be in Jujutsu Kaisen.

This would not only elevate Jura's significance within the Boruto narrative but also solidify his place as a compelling and impactful figure in the broader Naruto universe.
