Ever since its release, the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga has introduced fans to several new antagonists, together termed God Trees. The God Trees are the sentient form of the God Trees created when a Claw Grime bites someone who is not an Otsutsuki.

Amongst these, the manga has introduced fans to four God Trees, namely Jura, Hidari, Matsuri, and an unnamed clone. While the manga did reveal what characters three (Sasuke, Moegi, and Bug) of the four God Trees are based on, that wasn't the case for Jura. The series has yet to reveal what person the Claw Grime bit to create him.

Amidst this mystery, one fan theorized that Jura may have some form of hidden connection with Kawaki.

A Boruto theory suggests a secret connection between Kawaki and Jura

One Boruto fan on Reddit, u/New-Skill-4981, theorized how God Tree Jura could have a secret connection with Kawaki. As mentioned earlier, the manga series has yet to reveal the person on whom Jura is based.

According to u/New-Skill-4981, the manga must have kept this a secret as the information could later act as a crucial plot point and even shock Kawaki due to his secret connection with the person.

Currently, the two characters do have a connection. God Tree Jura desired to devour Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki; however, Kawaki cared deeply about him. Hence, given the circumstances, the manga is bound to see a confrontation between Jura and Kawaki.

Such a development will likely reveal the secret connection between the characters. This also made sense because Kawaki could levitate in the sky, similar to Jura. Additionally, as seen in the manga, both characters could use Daihakoten.

There is also the fact that the Claw Grime that attacked Kawaki had a Rinnegan, unlike the others, which is not explained.

Lastly, there also remains the fact that while the Claw Grimes had bitten Sasuke Uchiha and Bug much earlier, their sentient God Tree forms did not appear before the Claw Grimes appeared in the Hidden Leaf Village. This suggests that the Claw Grimes' contact with the two Otsutsuki — Boruto and Kawaki — must have somehow triggered the creation of sentient God Trees.

Such a possibility suggests that the sentient God Trees must have taken their forms after one of the Claw Grimes came in direct contact with Kawaki. Hence, Kawaki could be indirectly involved in the creation of the God Trees leader, Jura.

Even if Kawaki and Jura did not have a "secret" connection between them, there is a huge chance that Jura was based on Isshiki Otsutsuki. This would explain why Jura was able to levitate and use Daihakoten like Kawaki, as Kawaki himself derived the techniques through Isshiki Otsutsuki's karma mark.
