Boruto Two Blue Vortex could be considered the redemption for its prequel series considering how much it was criticized due to its uninteresting plot. However, where the sequel might look like all shiny diamonds, it could hide a dark meaning behind it and that could relate the mysterious and majestic Shibai Otsutsuki to the protagonist of the series.
From the sequel's first chapter, the protagonist avoids every calamity without even noticing. Where Kashin Koji plays a big part in telling the protagonist the worst-case scenario, at the end of the day, everything lies in the hands of fate. However, what if this fate is Shibai Otsutsuki, saving the protagonist so that he could take care of Jura, someone Shibai wants to be defeated?

Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Why Shibai Otsutsuki might want Jura taken care of?
Boruto Two Blue Vortex started with the protagonist returning after being framed as an outsider by the Omnipotence Act. His return was a big shock because he had just left the village a few years ago. It was later revealed this was due to the protagonist having Kashin Koji by his side.
Anyways, the first fight the protagonist took part in was against Code, which was completely one-sided. Even though the protagonist was aware of future timelines, there were still chances of him dying, as revealed through Kashin Koji's Ten Directions. So, he received some unannounced aid from something which helped him remain overconfident which led to his victory.
Later, after he followed Code, the protagonist went against the Four Self-aware God Trees of the Ten-tails in a mini-battle. As expected, Boruto was overpowered by these godly beasts and possibly escaped death, even though he was aware of their existence through Ten Directions, as seen in Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 13.
So, again, he received some unannounced aid which helped him escape an 'obvious' death. This unannounced aid continued supporting him against Kawaki twice and one time against Hidari. However, it became obvious against Jura when the God Tree pierced the protagonist's chest and left him alive, saying that the 'heavens are keeping him alive.'
So, this unannounced aid could very well be a godly being, other than Momoshiki (because he wants to just take over the protagonist). Other than that, the only godly being, introduced in the series, that could be the unannounced aid would be Shibai Otsutsuki.
Quite frankly, the strongest Otsutsuki whose jutsu techniques were penned as shinjutsu, Shibai is the being titled the 'God of the Otsutsuki clan.' So, the bigger question would be, why is this Otsutsuki aiding the protagonist? The answer is simple but has a depth that has been foreshadowed before.
Shibai Otsutsuki could want the protagonist to take care of Jura so that he doesn't threaten his godhood, amongst his clan members, in the future. While it might seem odd why an Otsutsuki God (the god of the gods) could be scared of a God Tree, the truth lies behind the dexterity of Jura.
In Two Blue Vortex chapter 13, Kashin Koji described Jura as the 'most dangerous one from the God Trees.' This is also emphasized through his actions as he thinks beyond the obvious and his every move is calculated, which could make him someone dangerous enough that the Otsutsuki God is helping the protagonist through his divine intervention to defeat Jura.
