Kagurabachi chapter 30 highlights: The Tou prepares to fight the intruders
Kagurabachi chapter 30, Intruders, begins with a flashback, where Shiba tells Chihiro that he will head to the Rakuzaichi's before him to defeat the guards and clear the path. Meanwhile, the Tou are seen protecting the basement.
According to Kagurabachi chapter 30, the Tou, or the strongest four Sazanami members enshrine themselves in all four corners of the Rakuzaichi auction's stage to ensure the event progresses effortlessly.
Yet this time, only Kyora is present on the stage because he feels the Tou must guard the underground cemetery, the Naginojoen, from intruders (Chihiro and others). Following that, Kagurabachi chapter 30 switches to the basement, where the Tou converse among themselves.
One of the Tou members mentions that the underground cemetery is the only way to access the Rakuzaichi storeroom since the emergency exit door lies there.
Even though the existence of that door is known only to Kyora Sazanami and them, the Tou feels Chihiro may have already figured out the secret thanks to Hakuri.
Another member speculates that Chihiro Rokuhira may learn about the storeroom's interior through his connection to Enten. As such, they strategize a plan to stop the Enten user and others from intruding on the cemetery.
Suddenly, one of them senses Chihiro upstairs. A female Tou wonders whether Hakuri has come well. However, the member with braids says a coward such as Hakuri won't come. Rather, he is worried about Shiba, who can easily infiltrate with his teleportation skill.

Kagurabachi chapter 30 then switches the perspective to Hakuri, who cautiously approaches the basement. A flashback moment shows him warning Shiba about Soya Sazanami, who is even smarter than their father, Kyora, according to the clan chief himself.
Meanwhile, Soya realizes that Hakuri has arrived. He quickly runs off to locate his younger brother. The other Tou members surmise that if Soya is excited, then Hakuri must have really shown up. Suddenly, they notice Shiba behind them.
The sorcerer teleports behind the Tou and stands before a huge door. He nonchalantly asks them how to open the door to the Naginojoen. Following that, we see Hakuri running from his brother, Soya Sazanami.
Kagurabachi chapter 30 explains that Hakuri's job was to split up the Tou members. Prior to the mission, Chihiro told Hakuri he would head to the basement as quickly as possible. Therefore, if Hakuri runs toward the surface, they (Hakuri and Chihiro) will eventually meet.
After running for a while, Hakuri finally reaches the surface and sees Chihiro engaged in battle against several guards. Suddenly, a wall made of wood appears between them, blocking the exit door.
Although the sorcerer has an option to return to Shiba, he feels it's pointless. He doesn't want to go there and make it four vs. one for Shiba. Hakuri remembers the kindness Chihiro and others showed him. As such, he wants to repay him.
When Soya asks whether he is tricked by Chihiro, Hakuri vehemently tells him that he has come to defeat him. Kagurabachi chapter 30 shows the banished sorcerer take his battle stance and activate Isou. He exclaims to Soya that he has arrived to defeat him.
Meanwhile, Chihiro Rokuhira wields the Cloud Gouger to take on his foes. Suddenly, a man appears and tells him that since the Enchanted Blade is broken, its output is rather low.
Chihiro realizes to his horror that it's a Hishaku member, the very organization responsible for his father's death. The iconic tattoo on the person's hand gives it away. Kagurabachi chapter 30 ends with Chihiro confronting his arch-enemy.
Analysis and final thoughts
As a mangaka, Takeru Hokazono's talent lies not only in illustrating eye-catching panels but his ability to develop characters from scratch. Kagurabachi chapter 30 finally served the moment the fans of Hakuri have been waiting for a long time.
The banished sorcerer realized his worth and felt the need to stand up against his elder brother. Even though he may lose, he discarded his fears and decided to repay the kindness Chihiro showed.
Aside from that, Kagurabachi chapter 30 saw Shiba shine once again. It's commendable that he planned to take on three elite Sazanami guards by himself. However, the major highlight of the chapter was Chihiro's confrontation with the Hishaku member.
Throughout his journey of revenge, Chihiro had been waiting for the moment to confront the Hishaku. As such, Kagurabachi chapter 30 has nicely poised a fascinating battle for the next issue.
