Kagurabachi chapter 37: Chihiro Rokuhira retrieves Enten with Hakuri's aid, while the Cloud Gouger perishes

Kagurabachi chapter 37 was released in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #29 on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 12 am JST. The chapter saw Hakuri Sazanami demonstrate his Storehouse to interfere with Kyora Sazanami's space so that Chihiro could retrieve his Enten.

Previously in Kagurabachi, Hakuri Sazanami awakened his Storehouse, and became only the second person to control both the Isou and the Storehouse, after the Sazanami family's first patriarch.

With his genius, Hakuri channeled all of his Spirit Energy to cast a mighty Isou at Soya Sazanami to defeat him. Elsewhere, Chihiro Rokuhira witnessed the death of Tenri due to the side effect of holding the Datenseki for too long.

Kagurabachi chapter 37 highlights: Chihiro and others confront a shocking truth about the Emergency Door

Kagurabachi chapter 37, Equal, begins with Shiba commending Hakuri for awakening the Storehouse, along with Isou. He is mightily impressed by the boy's growth and potential as a sorcerer.

Yet, Hakuri feels it's due to Chihiro, who believed in him and left him behind. However, Chihiro thinks that if he had dampened his conviction back then, they wouldn't have become equal allies.

Meanwhile, Kagurabachi chapter 37 shows the remaining Tou members regaining consciousness and heading to the door to stop Chihiro and others from entering the Storehouse.

On the other hand, Chihiro observes a crack on the Cloud Gouger and thinks it's due to demonstrating the final embers of the blade. However, Shiba assures him that all that is left is to retrieve Enten and end the auction.

Shiba also speculates in Kagurabachi chapter 37 whether it's possible to use Hakuri's Storehouse to reach the sub-space governed by Kyora Sazanami. However, it is revealed that Hakuri and Kyora have different spaces, even though the methods of using the ability are the same.

Thus, the only hope of recovering the blade rests on the emergency exit door. However, Kagurabachi chapter 37 shocks the readers with the revelation that the emergency door has been destroyed.

Aside from Chihiro, the Tou members, who arrive at the scene, cannot believe what they see. Apparently, they have been protecting something that has already been demolished.

Following that, Kagurabachi chapter 37 focuses on Kyora Sazanami's thoughts. The clan head feels it was necessary to ensure Chihiro Rokuhira and Shiba cannot interfere with the auction's proceedings. Therefore, he presented them with a goal, only to crush it afterward.

Chihiro wonders whether Hakuri's twin brother, Tenri's death was for naught. However, Kyora feels the boy revealed the Cloud Gouger user's limitations with his death.

Even though the Tou members are demoralized, they don't want to let their younger brother's death go in vain, so they prepare to attack the intruders.

Shiba wonders whether their chances of victory were zero from the onset. As such, he suggests Chihiro and Hakuri to retreat for the time being, but they refuse.

Kagurabachi chapter 37: Hakuri interferes with Kyora's subspace, while Chihiro retrieves his prized possession

Kagurabachi chapter 37 switches to the auction room, where Hakuri arrives and halts the auction. Kyora Sazanami thinks that his son has figured out that their Storehouses are different sub-spaces.

Although the method to use them is the same, it's impossible to access each other's space, unless there's a strong connection. Kyora also acknowledges his error in understanding Hakuri's potential.

However, he feels there cannot be any connection between them, since he has become an enemy. Yet, Kagurabachi chapter 37 reveals that Hakuri still yearns for his father's acknowledgment.

With a lingering affection for his father, Hakuri Sazanami successfully infiltrates his (Kyora's) Storehouse space. Chihiro appears at that precise moment and helps Hakuri cope with the infiltration process.

Hakuri informs Chihiro that he can't do anything about what's inside the space other than send items from outside. Kagurabachi chapter 37 then shows the boy sending Chihiro Rokuhira inside Kyora Sazanami's storehouse using his abilities.

The protagonist locates Enten inside the vault. Meanwhile, Kyora Sazanami is shocked by the events. He manipulates the space inside his Storehouse to restrict Chihiro. The boy surmises that he can't do anything with a broken blade.

Yet, he believes in his father's creation and squeezes out one final Mei from the Cloud Gouger to demolish the constraints created by Kyora Saszanami. However, the blade gets destroyed as a consequence of the final attack.

Following that, Kagurabachi chapter 37 shows a monologue, where Chihiro acknowledges that he isn't equal to Hakuri.

While Hakuri Sazanami proved his unwavering conviction to destroy evil by incapacitating his family, Chihiro's hands faltered at the thought of ending his friend's brothers. He feels he has no right to wield a Sacred Blade.

However, Hakuri once again reminds him of his purpose. The chapter ends with him telling Chihiro to cut down his father. The protagonist successfully retrieves Enten, and takes his battle stance, with Nishiki activated.
