Kagurabachi chapter 37 recap

The chapter, titled Equal, begins with Shiba commending Hakuri for awakening two different abilities, a feat that he hasn't seen before. He's also surprised to see the sorcerer's growth.

Hakuri tells him that it's thanks to Chihiro, who believed in him and left him to battle Soya. But the protagonist thinks that if he interfered with his determination, they wouldn't have become equal allies.

Meanwhile, the remaining Tou members regain consciousness and head to the cemetery to stop Chihiro and others from infiltrating the Storehouse. However, the chapter shockingly reveals that the emergency exit door to the Storehouse has been destroyed.

Kyora Sazanami snuffed out the lifeline Chihiro had to eliminate any risks of them interfering with the auctions. Apparently, the Tou members weren't informed of it. Chihiro recalls Tenri's death and wonders whether his sacrifice was all for naught.

However, Kyora feels his son's death wasn't meaningless, as it revealed Chihiro's cards. Meanwhile, the Tou members prepare to battle Chihiro and others, refusing to let their brother's death go in vain.

Following that, the chapter shows Hakuri entering the auction room to confront his father. Kyora thinks that since his son has arrived, he must have figured out that the Storehouses they control are in separate spaces, even though they work the same way.

He feels there's no way Hakuri can forcefully open his Storehouse because he (Hakuri) doesn't share the familial connection anymore. However, Hakuri still has lingering feelings for his father and wants to be acknowledged by him.

As such, he forcefully infiltrates Kyora's subspace and sends Chihiro Rokuhira inside. Kyora manipulates the space inside his Storehouse to try and restrict Chihiro, but the sorcerer squeezes one final Mei from his Cloud Gouger to break the shackles.

However, as a consequence of it, the blade gets destroyed. Chihiro then delves into a monologue, where he feels that Hakuri has more conviction than him. While the sorcerer confronted his family to snuff out evil, Chihiro's hands wavered to defeat Soya and Tenri and serve the same purpose.

However, Hakuri reminds Chihiro Rokuhira of his original purpose. The chapter ends with Hakuri requesting Chihiro to cut down his father. The protagonist recovers his original blade, Enten, and activates Nishiki to prepare for the battle.

The latest chapter has wonderfully set up Chihiro Rokuhira's battle against Kyora Sazanami in Kagurabachi chapter 38. The protagonist has already activated Nishiki, the strongest move of the Enten blade.

As such, it remains to be seen whether Kyora Sazanami has any backup plans in Kagurabachi chapter 38. Besides that, the chapter could show Shiba's battle with the remaining Tou members. Additionally, the Kamunabi may pounce on this opportunity to try and retrieve the Shinuchi blade.
