Kagurabachi chapter 38 recap

The chapter, titled Race, begins with a flashback scene to a while back, where Hakuri informs Chihiro that the person on the podium is not his father but a preview image created through his consciousness. The real Kyora Sazanami guards the merchandise in his Storehouse.

Following that, Hakuri registers Chihiro, so that he can send him into Kyora's Storehouse. Yet suddenly, he realizes that he can retrieve the blade himself since Enten is indirectly registered, thanks to it being imbued with Chihiro's Spirit Energy.

However, Chihiro doesn't want Hakuri to take out the blade. Rather, he wants to go there and finish off the clan head. He suggests to Hakuri that he should operate the Storehouse, once its manager (Kyora Sazanami) dies.

After that, the chapter focuses on Chihiro's battle against Kyora Sazanami. The protagonist demonstrates both Nishiki and Kuro: Shred simultaneously. However, Kyora responds to Chihiro's onslaught by manipulating the terrain and weaponry inside the Storehouse.

Kyora feels that as long as he is in the Storehouse, he can defeat even a person with an Enchanted Blade. Besides hidden katanas, the man sends dozens of grenades at Chihiro. Hakuri feels the Enten user won't be able to keep up with speed alone.

However, Chihiro smartly cuts down the grenades with his Spirit Energy for Hakuri to retrieve them in the auction hall. The bombs explode in the auditorium, eliminating several spectators from the underworld. However, Kyora is undeterred, since he has more weaponry at his disposal, while Chihiro appears wearied.

Suddenly, he notices several empty prisons and realizes that Chihiro has been sending his school of black goldfish to imbue the prisoners with his Spirit Energy, so Hakuri can rescue them. Meanwhile, many attendees at the Rakuzaichi try to escape.

However, Kyora Sazanami shouts at them, saying that the auction will proceed as per the original plans. The chapter ends with Kyora announcing that the next item to be sold at the Rakuzaichi is the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade.

Given how the chapter ended, Kagurabachi chapter 39 will likely show Kyora Sazanami going through the auction proceedings for the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade. Undoubtedly, he may have some backup plans, which he could use to derail Chihiro from getting his hands on the Enchanted Blade.

Even though Chihiro and Hakuri's combined effort spoiled the Sazanami head's plans, he knows that Shinuchi's auction will be the key to his success. Additionally, Kagurabachi chapter 39 might showcase the Kamunabi members pouncing on the opportunity to bid for Shinuchi. Overall, fans can expect plenty of action in the next chapter.
