Kagurabachi chapter 41 was released on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 12 am JST in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #33. The chapter highlighted Kyora Sazanami's wrath, as he demonstrated Shinuchi's overwhelming abilities against Chihiro Rokuhira and Hiyuki Kagari inside the subspace. At the same time, he started the sword's bidding to proceed with the auction.
Previously in Kagurabachi, it was revealed that Hishaku's leader had spent three long years to release the seals off the Shinuchi. Additionally, he used Kyora as a guinea pig to test the blade's strength, especially with the original sword saint still alive.
At the battlefield, Kyora Sazanami emerged from the ground, wielding the unsheathed Shinuchi. Even with a fraction of its powers, he put Chihiro in a rough spot. However, the chapter's ending implied that Hiyuki would join Chihiro against Kyora.
Kagurabachi chapter 41: Chihiro and Hiyuki team up against Kyora Sazanami
Kagurabachi chapter 41, titled Fervent, begins with the spectators at the Rakuzaichi auction marveling at the clash between two Enchanted Blades, Enten and Shunichi.
Wielding the blade, Kyora realizes that either the sword or the master swordsman is trying to hijack his consciousness. While he knows there's a price for the blessings, he refuses to give in.
At the Rakuzaichi auction's room, Kyora Sazanami's preview declares that he will demonstrate a fraction of Shinuchi's abilities to kill Chihiro Rokuhira and then auction the Enten. Kagurabachi chapter 41 then shows the Sazanami clan head using a move called Spider.
The spell spreads like a spider's web, restricting Chihiro Rokuhira's movements. Following that, the sorcerer unleashes a point-blank-range attack, named Dragon Fly. However, before the spell can reach Chihiro, Hiyuki Kagari arrives and blasts it away.
The Kamunabi sorcerer mocks Chihiro for being on the verge of death. The Enten-user realizes that Hakuri must have sent Hiyuki to the subspace. He tells her that they must prioritize saving the prisoners. Yet, to do that, they need to defeat the sorcerer & his Shinuchi first.
Hiyuki tells the Enten-user that Hakuri has already told her everything about the situation. She adds that the white-haired sorcerer has threatened her that if she harms Chihiro, he won't let her out of Kyora's space. The Kamunabi sorcerer wonders what happened to Hakuri in just a week that he changed so much.
Kagurabachi chapter 41: Chihiro combines Kuro with Flame Bone against Kyora
The narrative for Kagurabachi chapter 41 then shifts the focus to the Kamunabi sorcerers at the auction room, who notice Hiyuki and Chihiro on the screen. Tafuku, who is with them, reveals that Hiyuki is just following her mission to save Rokuhira. One of the sorcerers from the Shinuchi bidding team hopes that Hiyuki and Tafuku get into trouble.
Meanwhile, in the subspace, Hiyuki wonders how Kyora Sazanami is alive despite the fatal injuries. She speculates that it's most likely the powers of Shinuchi that are keeping him alive. On the other hand, Chihiro senses that the subspace is becoming unstable every second.
Thus, he advises Hiyuki to show haste. However, the Kamunabi sorcerer becomes agitated, reminding Chihiro that he would have died if she hadn't arrived in time. However, Chihiro says he still would have a way to counter Kyora's wrath.
Yet, the Kamunabi sorcerer feels one must need the Flame Bone's explosiveness to blast away the Shinuchi's spells. Kagurabachi chapter 41 then shows Chihiro Rokuhira demonstrating Aka to imbue his left arm with the Flame Bone, which leaves Hiyuki surprised.
Chihiro tells Hiyuki that he can temporarily store the power he absorbs using Aka. During his first battle against Hiyuki, he absorbed one of her punches using Aka. Since then, he has had a portion of Flame Bone's power within him.
Following that, Chihiro Rokuhira uses a Kuro, enchanted with the Flame Bone's flames. However, Kyora shows his reflexes to dodge the attack. Chihiro realizes that Kyora Sazanami's physical abilities have been buffed, thanks to Shinuchi's powers.
The Sazanami head then demonstrates a new move, called Centipede, which cloaks him like a centipede, before sending shockwaves surrounding the area. While the power only utilizes a fraction of the blade's true strength, it leaves Chihiro and Hiyuki in a rough spot.
Meanwhile, the audiences at the auction room revel at the sight of Kyora's demonstration of Shinuchi. The narrative for Kagurabachi chapter 41 then shows Kyora's preview beginning the bidding for Shinuchi, starting with a whopping one billion.
The Sazanami head's call sends the crowd into a frenzy, as they clamor to get their hands on the blade at any cost. Kagurabachi chapter 41 ends with a panel, where Chihiro, Hiyuki, and Kyora reveal what the Shinuchi means to them.
While Kyora thinks it's the Sazanami family's merchandise, Hiyuki feels it's Kamunabi's weapon. However, for Chihiro, it means the Rokuhira family's possession.
