Kagurabachi chapter 43 recap
The chapter, titled Fulfill, begins with Chihiro thinking he has to touch everyone inside the Storehouse and imbue them with his Spirit Energy for Hakuri to transfer them outside. On the other hand, Hakuri feels Kyora Sazanami's unyielding conviction for the Rakuzaichi is delaying the Storehouse from crumbling.
He realizes that if the Shinuchi blade overpowers his father, the Storehouse will cease to exist, taking along with it Chihiro and others inside. Thus, he banks on the sorcerer's resolve. Elsewhere, the Kamunabi sorcerers advise each other to leave if they want to survive.
Meanwhile, Kyora Sazanami remembers his late wife's final moments. Kyora's wife felt her husband and the other Sazanami family members were brainwashed by their "Sacred Tradition" Rakuzaichi. She thought that without the auction, his husband wouldn't have been a bad person.
Besides her, Kyora remembers his father entrusting him with the responsibility of the auction. His unflinching resolve allows him to delay the Shinuchi's corrosion. Kyora asks the audience to kill his enemies in exchange for money. The spectators charge at Hakuri, but Hiyuki protects him.
Meanwhile, Chihiro and Hakuri's combined efforts save every prisoner from the Storehouse. Kyora then recalls his wife once again and thinks he should have believed in Hakuri. He couldn't because his ideals didn't match with Hakuri's.
In the end, Chihiro gets back from the Storehouse (it is implied that Kyora, not Hakuri, transferred him outside) and observes Kyora. Shinuchi's flowers grow from the sorcerer, as he dies a tragic death.
What to expect in Kagurabachi chapter 44? (speculative)
Kagurabachi chapter 44 will likely show the aftermath of Kyora Sazanami's death. The sorcerer died upholding his convictions. However, the latest chapter also implied that he learned the error of his ways. Perhaps that's why he brought back Chihiro from the Storehouse so that Hakuri could live with his new family.
Besides the aftermath, Kagurabachi chapter 44 will likely see the Hishaku's boss back into action. He probably anticipated the events, which is why, he may have his plans chalked out.
On the other hand, it will be interesting to see what Hiyuki Kagari does, considering everyone, barring Shiba is exhausted. If she decides to follow her mission, she may confront Chihiro. However, the latest chapters have hinted at a change of heart in Hiyuki.
Therefore, she will likely let Chihiro pass with the Enchanted Blade. Moreover, Kagurabachi chapter 44 could elaborate on Hakuri's condition. In any case, the next chapter will bring a closure to the Rakuzaichi arc, and begin a new one.
