Kagurabachi chapter 45 is scheduled to be released on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 12 am JST, in Weekly Shonen Jump's 38th issue, according to Shueisha's official MANGA Plus website. However, due to the differences in time zones, most readers can access the chapter earlier on August 18, 2024.

The previous chapter concluded the Rakzuaichi arc and began a new arc, with Chihiro Rokuhira deciding to join the Kamunabi forces to gather intel on the Shinuchi and the other Enchanted Blades. On the other hand, Hakuri chose to remain on Chihiro's side to prove the worth the former had shown in him.

After witnessing Kyora Sazanami's death, the audience at the Rakuzaichi hall notice the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade lying beside Chihiro. They charge at the boy to own the blade. However, Shiba teleports in time to grab Chihiro and leave the scene.

However, after teleporting outside with Hakuri, Shiba realizes that Chihiro isn't with him. The chapter reveals that Tafuku placed Chihiro within his barrier before Shiba could use his sorcery powers on him. Hiyuki then asks for the Enchanted Blades, as she originally intended.

Meanwhile, Shiba and Hakuri witness a huge explosion at the Rakuzaichi building. We then see Hiyuki and Tafuku exiting the building, with Chihiro on the latter's back. Seeing Hiyuki carrying the Shinuchi blade, Shiba enquires about it. Hiyuki says that she and Chihiro have made a deal.

When Hakuri asks Chihiro, the latter informs him that it's about their next plan. At the same time, Chihiro enquires Hakuri about his next ventures. The chapter then goes into a flashback and shows Shiba advising the remaining Tou members to return home and ensure there won't be another Kyora or Tenri.

However. Hakuri feels he cannot return to his family since he has become an enemy to them. He wants to be on Chihiro's side and further prove his worth. The chapter then delves into another flashback, revealing the conversation Hiyuki had with Chihiro.

Although Chihiro refused to hand over the blades at first, he feels the situation has changed. Having witnessed the horrors caused by the Shinuchi, he feels the blade needs to be sealed. However, giving it to the Kamunabi for the sealing purpose means falling into the Hishaku leader's trap, who intends to use the blade.

After considering various possibilities, Chihiro realizes there's only one option that works out for both parties. The chapter ends with Chihiro proposing to Hiyuki that she let him join the Kamunabi.

Given how the latest chapter ended, Kagurabachi chapter 45 will see the narrative enter a new arc. Chihiro has decided to join the Kamunabi, which will enable him to learn more about the Enchanted Blades. The chapter will likely show Chihiro and others returning to their base to regain health.

After that, Hiyuki will likely bring Chihiro to the Kamunabi's headquarters, where the higher authorities will question the boy regarding the Enchanted Blades. Kagurabachi chapter 45 could also show Azami reacting to Chihiro's proposal. He might not like the boy's decision, considering he knows the organization's mindset.
