Kagurabachi chapter 49 recap
The chapter begins with Hirohiko confronting Chihiro Rokuhira with the hired assassins on his side. Chihiro doesn't remember seeing the sorcerer among the group who killed his father three years ago. He asks Hirohiko what he wants to do, to which the sorcerer replies that he intends to terminate Uruha and negate the Eternal Contract.
Meanwhile, some assassins break through the window to attack Uruha, but the sorcerer defeats them with his blade. On the other hand, Chihiro cloaks himself with Nishiki to face Hirohiko and his guards. The Hishaku sorcerer then reveals his origami-based sorcery powers to send a pack of Blood Cranes at Chihiro.
Those cranes pierce through several assassins' bodies and splatter blood on Chihiro's eyes to blur his vision. Sensing the opportunity, Hirohiko charges at Chihiro with his blade. The Enten-user replies with a clever improvisation. He uses Kuro like Shinuchi's Centipede to send a shockwave.
Meanwhile, Yoji Uruha tells Chihiro not to worry about him anymore because he feels he will only hold him back. Believing in Hakuri and Uruha, Chihiro Rokuhira leaps out of the train, taking Hirohiko with him. While it's risky to leave the duo on the train, Chihiro feels Hirohiko is the main threat.
Moreover, he plans to break the existing deadlock between Kamunabi and Hishaku. Chihiro knows if Hakuri can regain his ability to open the Storehouse, contact the next Enchanted Blade bearer at the Senkutsuji Temple, and retrieve the stolen Enchanted Blades, Kamunabi will have the upper hand.
Meanwhile, Hirohiko is ecstatic that he can battle against Chihiro without holding back. He wants to see the boy's power, especially after hearing so much about him from his leader, Yura.
However, Hirohiko doesn't fight the boy alone, but he revitalizes the fallen assassins with Datenseki. The chapter ends with Chihiro ready to face Hirohiko and the Anti-Enten Squad.
What to expect in Kagurabachi chapter 50? (speculative)
Kagurabachi chapter 50 will likely continue with Chihiro's battle against Hirohiko and the Anti-Enten squad. While it's a stiff task, the boy's astute knowledge of the Enchanted Blade shall guide him with strength. Additionally, the manga is yet to show Hirohiko's full potential.
The latest chapter confirmed his sorcery powers are based on the origami concept. Since many things can be made with origami papers, Hirohiko's powers will be difficult to counter. Besides that, Kagurabachi chapter 50 may also explore Uruha and Hakuri trying to defeat the small assassins on the train.
There's still that one sorcerer, who was with Hirohiko in chapter 48, missing from the scene. Chances are high that he will take on Uruha and Hakuri. As such, it will be interesting to see if Hakuri can finally launch an Isou to protect the ex-Kumeyuri user.
