Kagurabachi chapter 62: Samua's daughter questions her recurring dreams

Kagurabachi chapter 62, titled Iori, commences with a dream sequence where Samura's daughter is holding hands with someone. The person addresses her as Iori. The dream wakes her up, and she wonders why she's having the recurring dream. After that, Iori's mother enters the room and asks whether she can sleep.

The narrative reveals that Iori's father disappeared long before she was born. Her mother raised her all on her own. At least, that's how she's living her fabricated life. Just then, Iori's mother watches the news of the massacre at the nearby theatre, which is the same theatre where Chihiro Rokuhira wreaked havoc.

Iori doesn't like the news of bloodshed, so she leaves for school. Kagurabachi chapter 62 then shows Iori looking up at the sky, which appears dark and gloomy as if blocked by something. She wonders how the world went dark three days ago and caused panic among people. Even her school went on a break for two days.

Following that, the narrative for Kagurabachi chapter 62 switches to Iori's school, where her classmates greet her. The homeroom teacher enters and informs how the Kamunabi has given the green light to continue the classes. In other words, they see no harm in the recent events related to the sky.

Meanwhile, Iori's classmate, Ikura, feels the world's end is nigh. According to Kagurabachi chapter 62, Ikura is greatly influenced by Chihiro Rokuhira. He has also marked a tattoo resembling Chihiro's scar on his face. Although he doesn't want to acknowledge it, he is a huge Chihiro fanboy.

When his friends ask him about the mark on his face, he mentions how it suddenly appeared one morning. Even though Ikura idolizes Chihiro following the Kabuki theatre's events, Iori feels the boy is a murderer. Following that, one of her classmates asks her whether she is still having trouble sleeping.

Iori says how she's having the same dreams three nights in a row. Although it's a recurring dream, she can't recollect the events after waking up. The girl wonders whether the sky turning gloomy has some connection to her new condition. Ikura tells Iori it's a sign that she's the chosen one.

However, she doesn't entertain him. Ikura then mentions how certain sleeping disorders can stem from stress. Just then, in Kagurabachi chapter 62, Iori confronts a vision of her with Samura. However, it is locked from her memory before she can recall the vision. Once again, she wonders whether the sky is having some sort of effect only on her.

A classmate sitting beside Iori feels Ikura has influenced her. However, Iori tells her how odd everything has been since the sky has gone dark. Iori's classmate assures her that everything is fine and she should eat something sweet on her way home.

The narrative for Kagurabachi chapter 62 shifts the focus to Kuguri, who is seen outside the school's gate. A teacher walks up to him and tells him not to trespass. Kuguri then makes a swift hand movement, and the teacher falls to the ground, dead.

Following that, in Kagurabachi chapter 62, Kuguri leaps from the ground and breaks into the classroom where Samura's daughter is. Interestingly, Kuguri is not alone, as the other Hishaku sorcerer is with him. The Hishaku girl knows Samura's daughter has a new identity, so they won't be able to find her by simple means.

She pokes at a female student's face with her nails and tastes her blood. According to Kagurabachi chapter 62, female Hishaku members can detect people by tasting their blood. Since she has Samura's blood, she can easily detect his daughter following this method.

She asks Kuguri to line up the girls from the classroom in one area so she can begin her search. Kuguri wonders what to do with the boys and whether he can kill them. The female Hishaku member gives him the green signal. Just then, Ikura shows courage and faces the Hishaku members. Kuguri is about to slice him when Samura's daughter jumps in front.

Kuguri stops his blade at the right time and asks his female partner to search for Iori's blood. Samura's daughter feels it's over. Just then, in Kagurabachi chapter 62, the Masumi members enter the classroom led by their commander. On the other side, Chihiro Rokuhira uses a regular blade to engage in a battle with Kuguri.

He prevents the Hishaku sorcerer from causing further damage to the classroom. Meanwhile, the Masumi leader observes Iori's actions and realizes she's definitely the person they are searching for. The Masumi girl is at the scene and wonders whether the Hishaku has picked up a signal on Samura's daughter's whereabouts since her Seal is breaking down.

However, since the girl still hasn't regained her original memories, the Masumi wonders what could be the reason behind the Sea loosening. The Masumi leader feels there must be some external factors. Just then, Iori remembers her dreams and the odd things happening to her.

She urges the Masumi to tell her everything if they know. The Masumi leader realizes that although Iori's memory of Samura is completely sealed, she's subconsciously trying to break it. He tells Iori that he will explain everything later.

However, for the time being, the Masumi leader informs Iori that the Hishaku is targeting her. Kagurabachi chapter 62 ends with the Masumi leader apologizing to Iori because her life will be slightly different for a while. He takes her under the Masumi team's protection.

Conclusion

Kagurabachi chapter 62 has revealed interesting facts about how the Seal works. According to the episode, Samura's daughter is subconsciously trying to break her Seal. That's why she's seeing those memories frequently. However, the nature of the Seal is still not explained.

Yet, the fact remains that it has been loosened. Otherwise, the Hishaku wouldn't have been able to pinpoint her location. Moreover, the chapter doesn't clearly show what happened in Chihiro's battle with Kuguri and the other Hishaku members. Nevertheless, the chapter has nicely poised the stage for the rest of the arc.
