Picking up the events from the previous chapter, Kagurabachi chapter 63 titled Car Chase, begins with the Masumi captain informing Iori about the threat the Hishaku pose not only to her but her entire class. Thus, the Masumi plans to take Iori, with them and escape from the Hishaku. Sumi (the Masumi girl) summons a motorcycle using a ninja scroll and asks Iori to hop on.
Meanwhile, Chihiro Rokuhira has locked horns with Kuguri in the classroom. The students in the class are horrified to see them holding blades. Moreover, one of them identifies Chihiro Rokuhira as the serial killer from the Kabuki theatre news. The comment seemingly hurts Chihiro, but he doesn't react that much.
Rather, he focuses on his enemy ahead. Just then in Kagurabachi chapter 63, the female Hishaku member looks outside the window and sees the Iori getting away. She informs it to Kuguri. Without wasting any time, Kuguri jumps through the broken window with the Hishaku girl to chase after Iori.

After that, Kagurabachi chapter 63 shifts the focus to Kuguri and the female Hishaku member, who board a car to chase Sumi's motorbike. Apparently, the motorcycle has a katana attached to it. The unnamed Hishaku member wonders why the Masumi would escape such extravagantly as their actions prove the girl is Samura's daughter.
Kuguri speculates the Masumi must have wanted to prevent combat near the students to ensure there were no casualties. Meanwhile, Samura's daughter looks back and notices the Hishakus are closing in. Sumi tells Iori not to worry as she won't let anyone harm her.

A bus and a car block Kuguri's way, but the Hishaku sorcerer doesn't care. He cuts through the vehicles to reach his target. Kuguri closing in on Sumi shocks her. She is perplexed to see the Hishaku sorcerer cutting through an obstacle in the shortest time. Kagurabachi chapter 63 then switches to Kuguri's perspective, who feels the Masumi's actions will only increase the casualties.
