Fans have been highly anticipating the release of Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 4 ever since the anime released its third season and sequel movie in 2023. While the movie had a wholesome ending, the story is far from reaching its conclusion as fans eagerly wait for the anime's fourth season.

While fans would not care about it, evidence suggests that after three seasonal anime and a theatrical movie, Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 4 would not be as effective as the anime's previous releases. This is due to the manga's plot, which may have already reached its peak and could only cause the anime's popularity to plummet if A-1 Pictures releases sequel seasons.

Why Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 4 will not be as effective as previous seasons

Kaguya-sama: Love is War is a highly popular anime amongst fans, as each of its seasons has received a great reception from them. The anime majorly focused on its protagonists, Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane, the President and Vice-President of the Shuuichi's Student Council, both of whom liked each other but refused to confess first.

This battle was drawn out for three seasonal anime as the conclusion of the third season saw Miyuki finally confess his feelings to Kaguya with a surprise at the Cultural Festival. Kaguya responded to this confession with a kiss, seemingly sealing the deal between them.

As for the sequel movie, it delved deep into their first kiss and relationship. Kaguya had mistakenly given Miyuki an "adult kiss," which unbeknownst to her, was something they should have shared much later in the relationship. On top of that, Miyuki had a tough time speaking to her about their relationship. Fortunately, the two ended up together at the movie's end, which depicted their story until Christmas.

Now considering that the major plot of the series, which was about Kaguya and Miyuki confessing to one another, has concluded, Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 4 will probably not have a similar audience pull as compared to its previous seasons. This means that the manga is well past its peak point as far as adaptation is concerned. Hence, there is a chance that A-1 Pictures could pull away from adapting Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 4.

That said, the movie did tease some scenes, which set up some of the series' future events. This included Ishigami Yu and Miko Iino's relationship and Kaguya transferring to Stanford to study alongside Miyuki after graduation.

With that in mind, there is a good chance that the animation studio is set to adapt the entire series. Unfortunately, the anime has yet to announce the production of Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 4.

Many fans believe that A-1 Pictures will continue adapting the series after releasing the sequel seasons of 86: Eighty-Six, Mashle: Magic and Muscles, and Solo Leveling. However, the studio never suggested the same, hence, it could take quite some time before a similar announcement is made.

Therefore, considering that the future arcs aren't as strong as the ones before, there is a small chance that the animation studio would want to hold off on producing Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 4 until they deem it necessary. Hopefully, the adaptation does not get too delayed and later canceled before that happens.
