According to Crunchyroll's official website, international audiences can stream the episode as soon as it starts airing in Japan. Unfortunately, Crunchyroll appears to be the only platform streaming the anime series as of this article's writing.

Kaiju No. 8 episode 3 began with a continued focus on Kikoru and Kafka’s interactions, where Ichikawa attributed his Kaiju-like smell to their work in Kaiju disposal. Kikoru accepted this and departed, while Ichikawa berated Kafka for using his powers to move their car back. The two then prepared to enter the exams, with Kafka seemingly motivated. However, the first portion of the exam showed him to be one of the lowest-ranking applicants in terms of physical fitness.

Applicants then prepared for the next stage, where they were given Defense Force Kaiju combat suits made from Kaiju muscle fibers. These strengthened one’s body and measured their compatibility via an unleashed combat power. Ichikawa’s was 8% while Kikoru’s was 46%, but Kafka’s was a 0%. The group then went to the next testing area, where it was revealed they would be eliminating Kaiju.

While Kikoru and others quickly shone by killing Kaiju, Kafka and Ichikawa realized there’s more to the exam than simply getting one’s kill count up. Likewise, they decided to play a supporting role, which was shown to be very effective at first. However, Kafka was then gravely injured by a Kaiju to the point where Hoshina advised him to give up. The episode ended with Kafka refusing to give up and achieving a 0.01% unleashed combat power as he prepared to fight on.

Given that the Defense Force exam is already so close to ending, Kaiju No. 8 episode 4 should see it fully conclude after Kafka’s latest motivational moment. Likewise, fans can expect to learn whether or not Kafka made it into the Defense Force by the end of the next episode, since it will mark the roughly one-third waypoint of the first season’s episode count.

Also, given this significant milestone, episode 4 should fully establish what squad Kafka will be in and who his squadmates will be. He’s likely to get at least either Ichikawa or Kikoru in his group, but having them both in his suad will be unlikely considering one should be used as a vehicle to introduce and develop the other characters introduced in episode 3.
