With the Oshi no Ko manga ending, most fans criticized it for its seemingly rushed pacing in the final three chapters. Most fans did not like the fact that Aqua Hoshino passed away. Even the ones who were okay with the development weren't really happy with the way it was executed. However, amid all the developments in the manga's final chapter, the one who became the saving grace was Kana Arima.

As fans might remember, Kana Arima had a huge breakdown at Aqua's funeral in the manga's penultimate chapter. With that, fans believed that it was the end of the character's contribution to the story. While the character did not have any dialogue in the manga's final chapter, she did more than what fans expected her to.

What did Kana Arima do at the end of Oshi no Ko manga?

As one would know, Kana Arima loved Aqua Hoshino and wanted to profess her feelings to him through her final concert as a B-Komachi member. Unfortunately, after Aqua Hoshino committed suicide to protect Ruby Hoshino's idol career, Kana could not say the one thing she wanted to for the longest time.

This affected her a lot as she also had a breakdown during Aqua Hoshino's funeral ceremony. She professed her feelings for him out in the open and started crying, begging for Aqua to come back to life. She had become so weak that she needed Akane's help to get back up after her breakdown. Hence, following her "big chapter" fans did not expect Kana to do much in the final chapter. However, that wasn't the case.

As fans might remember, Aqua had asked Akane Kurokawa to take care of Ruby. However, despite being depressed herself, it was Kana Arima who took charge of keeping Ruby from harm's way. This was depicted in the final manga chapter through a single panel as Kana could be seen keeping the paparazzi away from Ruby Hoshino. She knew that questions related to Aqua and Hikaru Kamiki could make Ruby's condition worse, hence she did her best to keep her safe.

Surprisingly, Kana Arima didn't just stop there. She was also the reason why the B-Komachi members reunited after Aqua Hoshino's death. As shown in Oshi no Ko manga's final chapter, Mem-Cho was planning on taking a hiatus after Aqua's death. However, it was Kana who encouraged Mem-Cho to not put herself down and keep going.

This development also saw both Kana and Mem-cho reunite with Ruby and possibly help her through her tough time. Otherwise, there was a chance that Ruby may have never returned to being an idol. At least, her return as an idol could have been delayed to much later, possibly hindering her career growth. Therefore, while not everyone like the manga's ending, one must admit that Kana Arima was the saving grace.
