The Boruto series has been progressing steadily over the past few months. The manga chapter has been performing quite well. However, the manga chapters are released on a monthly basis, giving netizens plenty of time to revisit some of the older chapters of the series.
Some fans have compared the current state of the manga with certain elements from Masashi Kishimoto’s original series. The relationship that Kurama had with Naruto was a topic that came up once again when fans were going through the recent chapters of the manga.
The two aforementioned characters had a symbiotic relationship. However, fans fear that the same might happen with Boruto and Momoshiki. Should Masashi Kishimoto treat these characters the same way, the overall perception of the series could be affected rather drastically.

Boruto: Why the protagonist’s symbiotic relationship should not be similar to the one shared by Naruto and Kurama
In order to refresh one’s memories, we must revisit the original series and understand the relationship that Naruto shared with Kurama. He was the Nine-Tail Jinchuriki and was ostracized by the entire village.
This is because Kurama was feared for his destructive abilities and wasn’t particularly friendly either. This is why Naruto and Kurama’s relationship was quite rocky at the start, and Kurama hated the fact that he was sealed inside Naruto. As the series progressed, Naruto managed to get through to Kurama and earn his trust.
Eventually, they became a feared duo that even went toe-to-toe with the likes of Kaguya Otsutsuki. The manner in which their relationship blossomed was one of the highlights of the series. With that said, it would be quite beneficial for the sequel series if Masashi Kishimoto did not follow the same approach with Boruto and Momoshiki.
One of the biggest similarities is that the protagonist of the sequel series and Momoshiki share a symbiotic relationship. The nature of it was kept under wraps until one of the recent chapters from Two Blue Vortex hinted at the symbiotic nature of their relationship.
When the protagonist beat Kawaki in just one move, he was forced to retreat soon after. When Kawaki activated his Karma Mode, the protagonist was forced to retreat since his Karma Mode was activated as well.
Seeing Momoshiki and Boruto work together would not be a great idea. Having the two work together in their current situation would undo everything that the manga has done to portray Momoshiki as one of the biggest antagonists in the series.
Fans would want this character to be one of, if not the main antagonist of the show. There are some characters in fiction who cannot have redeeming moments as their very nature is devious, and Momoshiki is one of them.
The readers would not want Momoshiki to cooperate with the protagonist in the series and have a relationship similar to the one shared by Naruto and Kurama. Such an approach could quite literally kill the series and ruin all the positive things that Two Blue Vortex has managed to achieve.
